LSU is bottoming out after a legit decline... this is where the restructuring starts. Winning comes from the top down.

Technically that is true that the BOS hires the president. However, I know you have been around here long enough as to not be so naive to think the Governor does not have a strong say in who that person is. The Governor appoints the BOS. And before you say that the majority of board is still Jindal appointees, that doesn’t matter. These people act in their own interest and will bend to the will of who is in power, not the one that got them there.

Carville does not have a terminal degree. Faculty wouldn't accept. LSU did that one time before with former BASS Director. He was never accepted by faculty. Need a PhD. JD is a professional but not terminal degree in academia.
