I agree that we have no idea who this guy is. (Judging from his tweets he appears to be the "not so funny" version of Dennis Miller) But since he's had his account for a year and only has 6 followers, I doubt very seriously that his motive is to get more followers. He'd have done that like.. a year ago..? And there are many easier ways to get followers than that.
But like you, I'm not buying it until we get other confirmation.. Hell, he could be a distant relative of someone in the know.
