My thoughts exactly on the money issue. I just don't buy the fact that Alleva has set a lowball budget. It's about replacing a vital role in our program AND making Chavis lose. We are in no way hurting for money and I'm sure the boosters are ready to throw the money at a homerun hire.

LSU CAN have the top candidates if they choose,

They simply have to make the choice.

IF you walk too long on thin ice you will fall through

I would think that even if they were thinking cheap with Chavis that they realize now that they need to make a splash regardless of the cost to somewhat save face with recruiting and letting a coach go to a divisional opponent. I'm hoping it hit their pride a little bit.

Could someone give a quick rundown of exactly how good Ed Orgeron is at recruiting? I know the Micheal Oher thing thinks to that god awful movie. But there's gotta be more to it than that.

He's so good, he could make Landon Collins stay in school, transfer to LSU, and sit out a year to play. Probably get speedy to do the same.

Really though, he's pretty freaking good.

Need to make this hire now and have the press conference on monday at 1pm.
pendergast and orgeron would be a HUGE splash on the national scene and it would show recruits that LSU is serious about competing for championships and developing players to get to the NFL on the defensive side of the ball.

send brick packing. his lines have underperformed for 3 straight seasons in a row.
the mismanagement of herron, bain, and gilmore is tier 5 WTF level.

Sounds like in a roundabout way, Alleva is making a strong bid to become LSU's version of Jerry Jones.

ok...lets clear this up one last time....

Coach O is Edward Orgeron Jr...his daddy was Edward Sr....his daddy's nickname was BaBa and it stuck with Jr.

Down the bayou, people are known more by their nicknames than their given first names. The local phone book has the nicknames listed first than given names in ( ) so people will know who they need to call.... check it out, people are fascinated by this, who are not from that part of the bayou.

Remember, this is LSU and CLM..... odds are in favor of this DC hiring task getting hosed up! But CLM's presser will be the same as any other presser of his. "We are confident in the hiring of a quality coach and we look forward to fielding a competitive team."

Sorry but not very confident that CLM and staff actually pull off a great hire. Although, I'm not hoping for a 6-6 season in '15 just for a shot at a possible head coach change.

So are we still confident in this percentage with the Stoops discussion ongoing?

What facts do you base this off of? One year do Co-DC mess that was fixed immediately? What else?
