I doubt the board will admit it, but this is almost 100% certainly the case. A guy who thinks it's a remotely decent idea to go on Fox News talking about how the season should definitely happen despite covid in the middle of the largest racial justice protests in ~30 years doesn't understand the climate well enough to win the locker room. It's not O's only problem by a long shot, but I'm sure that has a lot to do with why we can self report -8 scholarships, have an extra year of eligibility across the board thanks to covid, and still have scholarship slots available to put a handful of walk ons on scholarship. That's an absolutely absurd amount of attrition.

There is rumblings of some major young players hitting the Portal by next week. Brennen is the 1st to announce. Also Walker Howard isn't 100% LSU anymore. Young players who were major contributors and the future of this program the next 2-3 years.
This is about to be even more devastating then we originally thought.

Bye. The new head coach will bring in better players to replace the ones that leave. No coach or player is above the program, and the program won't be held hostage by any coach or player.

Please relay this message to your buddy, Orgeron, and the rest of the alters Derek has lined up. Thanks.

So you’re saying that because a racist cop, so racist he married an Asian chick, knelt on a black man overdosing on heroin in a leftist shithole and Orgeron, the same Orgeron who endorsed our Democrat governor, thanking Trump for hosting them at the White House after a national championship on a conservative news (he went on other news channels as well) outlet promoting his new book after being asked about the president specifically is the reason he lost the entire team? If that’s true, what a bunch of pansy arse bitches our players are. Definitely brainwashed by the same people praising Kaepernick saying the NFL paying black players millions to play a game is modern day slavery.

That is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about, yes. If you do not understand why a group of 19 year olds that are almost entirely African American would not respect someone who remotely likes Trump (hint, the correct answer to the white house thing was "nah we're good" like what the warriors did), then you are completely clueless about current race relations in the US. That is not a minor transgression.

Not even going to touch your ridiculously incorrect take on the George Floyd and Kaepernick situations.

I’m with you but not this. It’s just not true or any excuse for his actions. You don’t Od off fentanyl in 9 mins sorry that’s not possible to have it in full effect 9 mins after injesting . If he took it within a minute of being detained or having his neck nelt on. How many pills do you know of that work in 9 minutes

They better not lose Ricks or Ojulari or next season will be even worse than the last 2

They are both draft eligible after next season and both are guaranteed starting spots. Ricks because he’s a corner and Ojulari because he can be a 4-3 end or a 3-4 OLB so our defensive alignment doesn’t matter. Actually in BJ’s case, showing he can play both positions would only help his draft stock. Wouldn’t make sense to roll the dice with another team and potentially hurt their draft stock. Same for Emery at running back. Whatever our scheme is next season we will need RBs.

If a coach going on television and saying he supports the President of the United States, regardless of who that president is, causes the team to revolt, then it's the players who are bigoted and brainwashed. They apparently just judge people based on their political party, and that's a dangerous thing. Bowing to that kind of thinking is what has this country in a downward spiral and getting worse every day.

I wonder how long it will take certain woke-o-phobic segments of this fan base that are still fighting the Civil War to turn on the new coach when there isn't instant success? A perfect example above.

While I hate this has happened, I also understand that this program needs to be completely reset. And if it takes watching certain attitudes walk away, then so be it.

The establishment of a new culture (hopefully) will take less time.

Orgeron is a dumbass for many other reasons, but my point was he had exactly jack shite to do with this. And if young African Americans think that white people need to feel some kind of guilt or responsibility for something some other dumb arse white person does or did then they need to go frick themselves. I think politics needs to stay out of sports but if you get that offended over someone else’s opinion then YOU are the problem.

I’m going to be completely honest. The problem is that you and others like you assume that black kids HAVE to be outraged or sensitive about something because CNN said so. There is absolutely no reason for an African American person to be triggered by Trump. They are weak minded and brainwashed by SpaceBook, Twatter, and people like you that capitulate the bullshite narrative.

I’m tired of this bullshite excuse. Want to be miserable all your life? Blame everyone else. In the meantime get the frick out of the way and let others live life. frick all this crying over nothing and fake hurt feelings.

Rumblings of some major players to the portal

So be it!

A really good player only plays for 2 years while an elite player 3, so you can't worry about what players stay or leave when going through a coaching change.

Every player has the right to look for other options if they feel the school they signed with is not where they want to be any longer.

BUT

This I can promise: If the new LSU coach is going to be successfull he will bring in new talent just as good or better than what is leaving.
Yes it might take a few years to get it all straight but LSU will be better in the long run.

I'll worry about the roster in August 2022.

This only works if the 25 limit rule is struck or is tweaked.

As it stands now you could sign 25 in the current class and have 25 transfer and you can't replace them.
