I love the after game threads where all the regulars join in and fight each other. It's been a while since we had one of these.

frick YOU!!!

But back to the discussion. People who think lsu is in over UK no matter what are retarded. Yes, UK is 4-6 in their last 10 with a series win vs State. But with a loss, lsu is 5-5 with a series win vs Bama. Hardly something that separates them.

I agree with you a bit. People are acting like the win yesterday locked LSU in 100%. I'm definitely going to be holding my poo in on selection Monday if LSU loses tomorrow. Win tomorrow and they're good to go.

A win vs Arky is better than a win vs USCe

I agree about another win putting us in regardless. RPI would be back in the 30s and would stay there.

State gets help by playing ole miss in Jackson.

State gets help because they played a shite load of road or neutral site games due to stadium construction. 23 games away and 9 neutral site.

Ell, has a 13-17 team in conference play or similar to that winning % ever gotten in the tournament?

In 2006 12-17 Mississippi State who didn't make the SEC tournament got in over 13-17 LSU who beat 1 seed Alabama in game 1 of the tournament because State's AD was on the selection committee.

So we are talking one time in the past 12 years? I don't think the bubble is that big this year for something like that to happen. If the committee does what it is supposed to do, then LSU is in the tournament.

I'm saying this because of what happened to LSU in 2011. If LSU 2011 with an RPI of 21 and UNC 2016 with an RPi of 19 don't get in with 13-17 conference records in elite baseball conferences, then that tells me that, no, they don't deserve it. LSu in 2011 also finished the season strong winning 12 of their last 15 games. Kentucky has shite the bed down the stretch

You can't look at this stuff in a vacuum. LSU was 13-17 in conference regular season action in 2011, as UK was in 2018. The difference is that in 2011, the SEC West was hot garbage--Arkanasas "won" the division at 15-15, and LSU's 13-17 was tied for last in the West (and missed the tournament accordingly--that doesn't disqualify you from consideration, but it certainly doesn't help). South Carolina, Florida, and Vandy all went 22-8. Contrast that with the SEC in 2018 which is pretty good top to bottom, and the fact that UK had to play both Florida and UGA, and it's easy to distinguish 2011 LSU from 2018 UK.

I think both UK and LSU are getting in, but if it came down to those two teams on the bubble, I think LSU would have the slightest of edges. But, in all likelihood, there will be other teams in the discussion, so it won't be as simple as looking at where 2 teams finished in conference.

Hoping for S Carolina and Arkansas to play until 2 or 3 am, use a ton of pitching, then to have perfect weather and games on time tomorrow. Beat the loser tomorrow, UF beats the winner, then we beat the winner. In.
