Our RPI went from 14 to 19 after the two wins against Florida. Someone please explain.

We play a lot of highly ranked teams still to finish out. Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas. If we win those series we will be right back up in or near the top 10.

Also it is important to remember THAT RPI is a ranking based on a mathematical number.
In layman's terms LSU can have:
A Ranking OF 19 with a value of .5942
The next week they could have a better value of .5950, but have 20 teams ahead of them and have a ranking of 21.

I think the full impact of last week's transgressions (ugly loss @ Southern and losses @ Missouri) and well as the loss Tuesday in the Pontiff classic, kicked in. It'll take a good week to get the team back on the right track, baby.

Exactly. This makes the Arkansas series much more important, as they did the sweeping against State.
