Baker made Clark an all american. Will do the same for Weeks and will set a standard for the young guys, That is what building a program is all about. kinda like they've done on the offensive side with WR and QB. And soon to be RB's. Give Kelly time and he will get it done.

It’s amazing what a little experience combined with coaching can do. Just in the last few weeks he’s in better positions and taking better angles than he did earlier this season.

Effort is not a problem.

Dude has some dawg in him too.

Thank God you dont have to choose with Weeks. He is physically gifted.

Lester says Roman Harper doesn’t know ball. Lester says Weeks is mid.

I have a hard time believing Lester said that. Weeks is one of the countries’ best linebackers.

Did Harper say he has a high motor? Coach on the field, first in, last out.

Yall remember what blake baker did for damone clark? now ya seeing it with weeks and penn as well

Weeks has earned his accolades for how well he is playing, but Penn has also improved under the radar. He used to be as much of a whipping boy as Ryan and Burns, but he has really played solidly the last two games. Nothing spectacular, but he doesn’t have to be next to Weeks. He just needs to get everyone lined up right and do his job. Penn doing that allows Weeks to be a wrecking machine.

If you are talking about Weeks, he does have all the physical gifts, but he's just now getting the hang of being in the right place, that had been an issue for him until he got more experience.

Yeah, I think it's interesting as I think both to an extent have been a bit stereotyped as Penn is actually the one with not as great physical gifts but lines everyone up and is in the right place/right time, while Weeks is actually more athletically gifted but had to learn assignment football better to get on the field more.

Many fans blamed BK,BB ,for Perkins lack of production ,Maybee now
we see it wasn`t coaching.I love Perkins being a Tiger, but obviously he
had a tough time grasping the system. He should have had WWs type
numbers with his athleticism.

It was against a running back, not an OT.

Weeks >> Perkins

At Mike. Perkins should never line up inside. He doesn't have the instinct for it. He needs to be outside where reads are not as important. He needs a guy like Weeks telling him where to go. (No shame in it. Never everyone can be the "quarterback".)

That late in the game a lot of players slow down but Weeks was still full throttle. He has a motor!

And didn't take a single play off in the whole game.

Playing outside only works for players who can tackle in space.
