Do you believe OSU is better then Iowa St?

If so, then you can eliminate that loss as well, correct?

Apples and Oranges.

The NFL has an objective way of determining playoff participants.

College football does not.

That being said, so what? I have a law degree too. Bama is the second best team.

You don't have to have a brain or any intelligence to have a law degree, buddy. Just be a person that can lie and be delusional. Looks like you have the latter two down.

Having watched OSU play this year, I have no doubt OSU could be beaten on any given week by a team like Iowa St. That day they were better.

Do you believe Bama is better than LSU?

See, it can go many different ways. Should there be rematches in the SECCG?

But this isn't what the BCS is all about. It has NEVER HAPPENED before.

What hasn't happened before?

A team that failed to win its conference? Sure it has. OU didn't win the Big XII when we beat them for a national championship in 2003.

A team that got in the game despite losing to another viable candidate? Again, Oklahoma. Lost to Texas. Same record as Texas. Texas lost later in the season to Texas Tech and it resulted in OU making the Big XII title game and ultimately the BCS title game over them.

This is about what's right and how the system was designed to be.

What's right? Ha! Our system allows that LSU has to play three top 3 teams and 7 ranked opponents and then gets measured against other teams who play no one in the top 5 and one or two ranked opponents. And you know what, our guys still rose to the top.

The system is designed to pit #1 against #2 in a championship game. LSU is clearly #1. Bama is equally clearly #2. If that is the game, the system worked.

Complaining about it is for sissies.

Yep, it's done through rankings. It appears Alabama will be voted the number two team (second best) in the human polls.

Totally agree. It's set up to put the best vs the team considered to be the best challenger.

As of right now, LSU is getting the biggest raw end of this deal out of anyone.

How so? Ranked #1, in control of our destiny, chance to be SEC champs and national champs.
Look I hate bama and wish bad things for them and dont want to see 'em in nc game, but they're #2 and I say bring it on

Fair enough. But don't think most of these people hoping that OKie State gets in over Bama aren't hoping for this because they think it will be easier to beat Okie State.

People don't resort to the mental gymnastics and statistical arguments if they really don't care who we play.

OK St has beaten 3 teams in top 20.

Bama has beaten 1 team in top 20.

What is your evidence for this, counselor? OSU, if it beats OU, will have beaten more ranked teams than the tide. Your argument is weak. I hope for your sake you are not a trial attorney.

Where have a lied.

How am I delusional? My only argument is that Bama is the second best team. No one who is intellectually honest disagrees.

What is delusional is thinking that whining, moaning and complaining about fairness is going to change the fact that we will be playing Bama in 40 days or so.

I get that. Sorry to be repetitious but we already beat who's second.

They would be throwing our win out the window.

Lost to one not ranked.

Who would win a play in between OSU and Bama?

The super bowl almost never produces the best team of the year...but it does produce a superbowl champion:

What does that mean...the team that can generate a 4 game winning streak in a tournament

College football picks the 2 best teams.

I would absolutely say okie state can beat bama...because BAMAs Special Teams sucks

Let's get something straight, if Bama DOESN'T end up going, they'll have nobody to blame but themselves (and their kicker/COACH).

FIFY

My guess is voters cast ballots based on who they actually believe is best. It appears you and your ilk should lobby for a rule excluding rematches.

You would be guessing wrong.

Voters cast ballots based on NO STANDARD. Some do it based on what teams have accomplished. Some weigh more heavily to who they think is better. Different voters contradict others and often contradict themselves.

In the end, when you understand how subjective the BCS system is, you realize that the voters should absolutely adopt as gospel the single objective component when available (the scoreboard).

Neither you, nor voters can definitively say that Alabama is better than Ok State. I know this is true because you would have bet your house on Ok State against Iowa State.

In a perfect scenario, Ok. State would have a chance to prove it on the field. If you can only pick one of the two to take on LSU, Ok. State should get the nod because Alabama was already beaten by LSU.
