Why shouldn't they? Do you advocate pitting number one vs number three?

What else should we add?

Could you make a case for 3rd place finish in the SEC?

LSU/ Ga 1 and 2

that means Bama 3

How so? Just like you said, We beat them head to head already.

"Life is unfair."

No kidding. But this isn't what the BCS is all about. It has NEVER HAPPENED before. I get the fact that you want to play Bama.

This is about what's right and how the system was designed to be.

You are asking the wrong question. The question should be who is the #1 team...and setting up a game to determine that.

We already know through an objective measure (the scoreboard) that LSU is better than Alabama. We don't know that about OSU.

It's not how the BCS works. Human voters will most likely put Bama at number two.

Something to consider, do you all REALLY want to deal with the fallout from Bama and the talking heads if Bama is left out? Do you want there to be doubt as to whether or not the "best team" actually won the title?

Are you serious?

You do remember that we already beat Alabama. If Alabama were left out, and an Alabama fan tries to make the argument that they were actually better than LSU in spite of being beaten at home, then you get to laugh at them.

WTF??? LSU is ranked number one in the system.

Roger, it's getting the raw end by having to face a team that is a non-conference champion that it already beat on the road.

Come on, Roger. We beat them on the road already.

Yes, they are one of the best teams out there.

But this would be unfair to us. It's like Nov. 5 didn't even happen.

And let's be honest, even if we whoop them by 4 TD's in New Orleans, they're still going to make excuses and say they were the better team. Who really cares what they say?

If LSU is the better team, then a rematch isn't a problem.

his point is if Ok State was undefeated most would still consider LSU and Bama the two best teams...but there's no way Bama would jump Ok State to play LSU again. The system isn't simply "who do people think are the 2 best teams".

The system is, the top 2 teams determined by computer polls, the Harris Poll and the Coaches Poll. All of those polls are designed to measure who are the top two teams.

It is true that had Okie State not shat the bed against a shitty ISU team, they would probably get the nod if they happen to beat OU (which they probably won't). But simply because that would have been the wrong result does not mean we should continue that wrong result when they have the same record as Alabama.

Alabama is the second best team in the country. Alabama has the same record as any other team you could credibly nominate for the game. Alabama would mudstomp every single one of those other one loss teams and if you are intellectually honest, you would agree with that.

Alabama should play us for the national championship.

And when we beat them again, it will be sweet. Stop being scared. Stop being a whiner. Stop being a pussy. Grow a pair of balls and say, "Bring it on. Whoever gets into the game, we're going to kick their arse!"

The BCS is a ranking system...a ranking system that is comprised of 66% subjective opinion.

The BCS is whatever the BCS components make it.

You show me the guideline where voters are asked to order teams based only on who they think are the best (not based on specific wins, or resume, etc.) and you'd be correct.

To some, maybe. It happens in the NFL all the time. We have the BCS and if you don't like it, blame the system.

Object of the BCS isn't to be ranked first, it's to be ranked first or second.

I would venture to say, THE ONLY.

That being said, so what? I have a law degree too. Bama is the second best team.

My guess is voters cast ballots based on who they actually believe is best. It appears you and your ilk should lobby for a rule excluding rematches.
