Like I said, I agree with him.

You obviously are one of the pro rematch people, I am not.

Actually I am not. I am rationally looking at the system and how I interpret it to be. It's my opinion you vote the teams you believe to be the best, in order.. and the top two play in the ship.

This year it happens to be two teams in the same division. I am actually pro playoff and anti BCS.

The team busts their arse and beats everyone but they have to face a team that not only did they beat, that's in the same conference.

While Bama sits at home and simply waits for a bowl game.

Yes. We are on the same page. F the system. The voters can make things right if OSU wins next week. However, I think OK will beat them. There are just not enough 1 loss teams that are even close to deserving a shot.

Which is why a playoff is necessary, but some would still hate it because of the potential for rematch.

it depends on the format, if all conferences and schedules were set up so that the subjective was left out of the equation, then there wouldn't be a problem. College football has tried to maintain the lure that November is a de facto playoff.

I understand where you are coming from but just disagree on whether a rematch should be factored into a vote, when it's not factored into the system.

In order to maintain any integrity in the current system, you would need to regulate non conference games as well. Without a playoff, there will always be a lot of subjectivity.

Based on Ok. St. losing to ISU, yes.

Most people would tell you that Alabama is better regardless.

You are confusing where someone would be ranked with who is the better team. The point many have been making is that they are not the same thing...and you disagreed before you accidentally agreed.

The bottom line is this. If you would take a step back and really think about the current system, you would realize that it is very subjective in the way that teams are rated. And that subjective rating isn't even done with a standard of how teams should be ranked. If you are able to grasp that, you will realize that any opinion on how a team should be ranked is no less valid than another. And, to say that there is no argument for Ok State over Alabama is laughable and nothing more than popular opinion.

I'm praying that OU not having Broyles and their leading rusher Dominique Whaley hurts them bad.

Also playing on the road too. We'll see.

You need to quit making blanket statements.

That's why the voters are there, right? So that it is factored into the current system.

Maybe, and they could be but winners find a way to win and you can't argue with undefeated. It's a pretty heavy tie breaker.

No, I have always maintained that you should vote the team you think is better above any team you believe isn't and never waivered once from this.

Structurally, no. Subjectively...you can make up your own rules about who you vote for. My guess is unless OSU beats OU by a lot, Bama will still get the vote.

Personally, I think Okie St is going to lose but if they don't, the computers will believe them to be number 2. Then the biases of humans enter the picture. Okie would then have a valid argument if they are snubbed

Computers love them, but humans are the ones watching the games. I still think Bama will hold it's spot.

Guess we'll find out.

I just think LSU would be getting a big stick in the eye if they put Bama in that game.

Beat them on the road and stay #1 and stomp everyone but here's a team who you already beat and just by staying at #2, they get to go on a vacation and wait until the bowl game while the Tigers keep going.

The voters should really consider what Gilmore said. I 100% agree with him.

So, your opinion on who is better out of Alabama / Oklahoma St. is as razor thin as Oklahoma State making that last second FG.

Wow.

This is why people like me have trouble accepting each individual's subjective opinion.

Your entire line of reasoning is ridiculous.

You seem to think LSU will have trouble beating Bama? I don't see it. Not in the Dome.
