That smug Robert Smith once said that TM7 would never step on the field as a defensive starter, that he would at best be a special teams player. What a douche!! Tyran is considered one of the elite Defenders in the league and a captain on a Superbowl team. I would love to see that terd eat his words

I don't have a link, saw it live

I could see someone possibly doubting his move to safety because of his size, but he plays so much bigger than his size.

When we played him at nickle he covered like a corner and tackled/pas rushed like an OLB.

Robert Smith is the epitome of irony.

Dude rats out his college coaches for exceeding practice time allotments, because he's taking pre-med and going to be a doctor.

What does he end up doing for a living?

Talks about football.

I don't respect him at all.

Ohio State RB. He ran for 2000 yards his first two years , then sat out his JR year bc John Copper did not provide him with enough time to devote to academics. He ran only track as a JR, putting up a sub 10.3 100 meters. Played a while for the Vikings and was very good. Left the NFL early to pursue a media position. Had a lot of negative comments about LSU in the 2007–2012 era. None were necessarily wrong. He bashed several other SEC teams during that time period. He is very intelligent and definitely comes off as smug as a result. He missed the TM7 evaluation by a mile. I honestly think he is a much better analyst than Herbie and most of the other college game day crew, but def smug so say the least. Pretty sure Reggie Bush replaces him on the Fox Game Day this year.

The Cure still made amazing records, even if they weren't fans of TM7

This one may be extreme but there were plenty of doubts regarding TM7’s pro career.

TM7’s career is the exception not the rule. Most guys that got into the kind of trouble he got into in college don’t outgrow that and get better. Doesn’t mean they aren’t still successful NFL players but they usually never reach their full potential and are headache locker room guys their entire career.
