Since 2000, the Home team has won 16 of 18 games in the series.

The only 2 Visitor wins were LSU at Auburn in 2008 and 2012.

In both those seasons LSU was coming off perhaps 2 of their best teams in history.

It'a an uphill battle for LSU this week, but not out of the question.

It comes down to execution by our OL and QB, and of course our Defense keeping the score close.

Nothing earth shattering here, just pointing out the scarcity of road wins in this series over the years.

BTW LSU holds a 29-26-1 all time record vs Auburn.

Here's to making it 30!

It won’t matter if we get outschemed again. You can run a play to perfection but if it is the wrong call then it’s not gonna work.

If it comes down to execution on offense, LSU doesn’t have a chance in hell. If they can’t execute against SLU, they sure as hell aren’t going to execute against Auburn, on the road.

True and then we doubled down on the problem by hiring an incompetent replacement

Yet if O loses this game, even in a close one our miserable fan base will be calling for his head.

I think the defense we keep until the third qtr but they’ll get worn out if Gus runs a lot of tempo.

Auburn was also awful those years.

In 2008 they went 5-7, winning only two SEC games. Tuberville was fired halfway through the season.

In 2012 they went 3-9 and won ZERO SEC games, leading to Chizik's firing.

This year's Auburn team is no 2008 or 2012 team.

Yeah but we've lost on our more even years at Auburn than we've won on.

AU will get every advantage the crew can give them. What will it be this year:

A). PI call picked up after thrown???
B). Personal foul call allowing another PAT or FG attempt?
C). Refs reversing a TD calling the play clock dead, after the play is called a TD due to reviewing the tape.

Whatever it is, you’ll see something weird this weekend that goes in favor of AU. They likely won’t need it, but one thing is for sure. We’ve not seen the best out of this LSU team this year yet, and if we do see it this Saturday afternoon it’s gonna be a great game.

2004 and 2006 are in my top 5 most pissed off after a loss games. Joining 2007 Arkansas, 1/9, and 2012 Bama.
