This is true, but then the problem of money comes in . This was actually the route for my family and I but once you move away , you’re seen as an outcast or bourgeoisie by a lot of former friends . I still have family in bad areas and anytime we would visit, acquaintances from long ago would be stirring up trouble . Prime example of Tyrann Mathieu trying to move his whole family out of New Orleans . It’s a sad cycle, but there needs to be more mentors out there. Until people in these communities stop being brain dead and begin helping clean up their own community it will stay that way .

STFU. Now is not the time or place for that frickery. Just because a kid appeared in a rap video doesn’t mean he was a thug.

you stfu.
I did'nt say he was a thug, i said it made him look like one, which isn't some farfetched thing to say.
And it is the time and place for it. We're just going to say "he was a good kid", "he didn't deserve this", blah blah blah, and that is all fine and good b/c it's likely true, and this was without a doubt a senseless murder. But nothing is going to change if you don't acknowledge why this happened, and what could have been done to avoid it.
Doesn't change the fact that it appears, from the little facts we have at the moment, that wayde put himself in a situation that wasn't ideal, and the worst possible outcome happen.
We had a bar fight with football players in 2011, that could have ended worse than it did. This situation likely wasn't much different, and just ended terribly b/c of a coward.
Long story short, and lesson hopefully learned by others, fighting as an adult simply isn't worth it. Don't put yourself in a situation where it will lead to a physical fight. Just walk away. you can't control the stupidity of other pos human beings in this world.

The sad part is that the LSU commumitity will mourn this loss for a while. Meanwhile , neither politicians nor community activists will do a thing about the gun violence in that area. They will sit back and wait for their next “good boy” /AS to be shot or whatever before they do anything.

One of the players I was able to get to know just from being out and around, this is truly sad to see.

How many boats would you say came to this country with masses of people with lint in their pockets? Westward expansion came from poor people in search of their piece of the American dream and land. Without that we would not have never crossed the Mississippi River.

My God...this is devastating. As a parent, I can't imagine what his parents are going though. Just terrible. So terrible.

May God save his soul.

Gonna be an emotional game tomorrow night with this happening. I know a lot of the basketball and football players are friends. Especially the ones who are from BR. God speed to all of them.

But what should the politicians do? The people doing these sort of things aren't exactly known for being reasonable. It will eventually be proven that the shooter wasn't supposed to be possessing a firearm, anyway- and has a laundry list of "issues". It's a broken record.

What rap video was he in?

not hard to find.
If you pay any attention to the basketball team, you would have seen it already, considering he got suspended from the team b/c of it, while someone else was kicked off, and another was suspended and later left the team.

Damn dude...

For those who don’t want to see it, or can’t find it, the video was from a decent distance away, kind of grainy, and you couldn’t really make out faces or anything

Those of you who said that you can see the shooter clear as day, were incorrect. Hope they catch the stupid SOB

**unless there’s another video
