Wow. Loss for words. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Sims family, Coach Wade, and his teammates.

With all the witnesses, they should catch the SOB that did this quickly.

Would you assholes quit arguing about watching/not watching the video?

Mind your business. If watching the video is your thing, great. If not watching is your stance, great. But end the childish bickering about it.

You do YOU

Don't detract from the integrity of the thread.

RIP Wayde, regardless of why. Prayers to family, friends and LSU basketball players and coaches

Only a loser pussy busts out a gun during a drunken brawl. If you’re gonna fight, throw a few punches, wrestle around, whip arse or take a beating and then get up and walk away. You pull a gun and you’re just a cowardly POS.

Thoughts are with the Simms family. Such a ridiculous, tragic outcome.

Gravy is generally a shite-stirrer and a walking punch-line, but that was a strong statement and I recognize and acknowledge it.

Never said you had a motive now did. I just said I don’t understand wanting to watch it. If this was some random dude in Chicago or LA which I am sure did happen last night like they do most nights in them cities it wouldn’t even be on here so that argument doesn’t apply.

Well no, we don't have invested interest in a random dude from Chicago. We do have an interest in a guy we follow that is apart of an LSU team. It's natural to have more interest in what goes on with them over a random in Chicago.

This happen in our area / community to a public figure so that is a unfair comparison.

This is exactly the difference. This is a guy some of us have interest in. Appears to have a wonderful family.
Was really looking forward to the upcoming basketball season and now so very to his family for this loss.

Safe wager the shooter should have already been off the streets... and certainly not a legal gun owner/carrier.

Probably not a Southern student either.

As a young black male my father taught me when you’re doing good and lots of people love you there will always be a bunch that’s looking to bring you down . So stay looking forward and keep it moving no matter what . You can’t win every fight because someone won’t fight fair . Whoever gunned down this kid is a fricking hater . Crabs in a barrel.. it’s always been that way and it will stay that way until more people start raising their kids with some fricking common sense and good morales. Wayde had such a bright future and was an amazing student athlete . My condolences to his family . I pray justice happens.

Sir, I can only imagine it's a struggle. I wish there was an easy fix.

I think when he played he went by Willie Sims. I was there when he played. He's a really good guy. Really friendly, humble and could really play.

Willie Sims, aka "The Black Jet" is older than Wade and no relation.

There is when you move away and divorce yourself from the culture of violence that enables this shite. Problem fixed.

It's absolutely not easy for the impoverished to move away.

Unfortunately this is a cultural issue that likely won't be solved anytime soon. That lifestyle is even glorified. It's sad.

We need to find a way to provide a solid, reliable path for the impoverished to succeed and prosper, making that path more attractive than the quick fix of criminal endeavors. Unfortunately, as I said, there isn't a quick fix. Also, it will never go away completely.

bullshite. We don’t have checkpoints in this country, and many a poor people have picked up and left areas throughout time in this country’s history when that area was detrimental to their health and well being, or they could better themselves elsewhere. It’s how America was formed and how it grew. Hell, it’s how immigration here began in the first place.
