UGA defenders were hitting our wr's a half a second early all game and no flags. Of course Danielson and the other stooge say nothing. Was UGA better yes but plays like this could change the trajectory along with the stupid low block call which I have NEVER seen called on the defense.

No. It was a live ball even though it stopped mowing.

- a blocked FG is a live ball for the defense
- a blocked FG is a dead ball once the offensive team touches the ball

It was a live ball because it did not stop moving and because there was a player from the defense in the vicinity even if it had.

If the ball stops and there are no players in the vicinity that can recover it, it should be blown dead.

All of you bitching about refs in a 20 point loss in which two turnovers resulted in UGA scores are the biggest pussies of all time.

What the frick did you think would happen? Turn the ball over and give away free points to the #1 team in the land, you get shite housed.

Is it bitching, or is it having open conversations about a game on steady repeat on the SEC network while you wait another 4 weeks for LSU to have another game?

And, while it was a 20-point loss, there was a ref factor involved. If they call the penalty when Bech is tackled in the endzone before the sack on 3rd down, LSU has 1st & Goal from the 2 1/2 instead of the blocked FG. They also maintain the momentum.

There were also a number of other calls that aided UGA drives and put LSU behind the sticks. Would these have changed the outcome, most likely not. But you'd have to have your head in the sand to sit there and say obvious decisions from the officials did not have an effect on the game

Blaming the refs is such a fricking loser mentality. Doesn’t matter what game or who the opponent is.

You play four quarters. Don’t let a few bad calls or even one bad call hinder the outcome. Games are won in the first and third quarters. We fricking lost. plain and simple.

This one is way too easy:

1) Better Special Teams
2) Better play calling
3) Better defensive coaches
4) Depth, depth, depth

Even with perfectly fair officiating, UGA would beat LSU early and often over and over and over and over and over

I noticed inequality of hand-to-head calls. Refs allowed a lot of DB contact, but haven't studied if prejudiced.

LOL. No.

They even reviewed a blatant targeting and overturned that. That's how corrupt this league has become.

agreed.

Look, does LSU get bad call/no-calls? Sure. But so does our opponent.

Our fans only notice the ones that affect LSU. I'd challenge them to go back and watch the game from a UGA fan's perspective and get back to me on what they see.

Hint: they'll find terrible calls that go against UGA.

All fans can find bad calls against them. Every team. In every game. In every sport.

But there's no nefarious plot against LSU by the refs or the SEC office. That's just jibberish.

It takes referees many, many years, often decades, to rise to the level of major college ball. They're graded by their bosses on every call they make.

They're not risking their position to aid one particular team. That's just nonsense.

Should the blocked kick not have been blown dead once the ball came to a rest? The UGA player stood over the ball for 2-3 seconds after it stopped.

announcers explained the rule. if a player is not in position to pick the ball up, then they blow it dead, otherwise the play stays alive, until the player moves away from the ball or picks it up. so its treated like a fumble as long as a player stands over it

Play before FG Bech crossing middle of endzone tackled in front of back judge. No flag Daniels sacked.

The FG debacle changed the momentum and is the reason we lost imo. nWe never had a chance after that. Similar to the Tennessee opening kickoff fumble.

And the helmet interception. That ended us.

Pressure and momentum can certainly impact a game… Is georgia deeper and stronger than our 2022 LSU Tigers? Definitely but it isn’t a best of seven series. It was a single championship game AND seemingly georgia got every break.
