I like Ridley an awful lot. He may be the second coming of Charles Scott.

That said, Murphy seems to be operating on another plane right now.

CJD4LSU man that would be awesome. Got to show love for the hometown boy. I wish he was as shifty as James was.

Lol...James was pretty shifty. Did you play with him?

I think hes got a huge chip on his shoulder and is just going to play like a man possessed this season. All the backs are good, they just need to keep feeding whoever has the hot hand.

I am a big Ford fan. He is my favorite RB on this team. . .but Murphy is clearly playing the best of the bunch. Hard to argue.

When Ford is a junior, he may well end up the best RB in LSU history. . .but right now, Murphy is better.

I totally agree with you, on everything

I understand fans like their new toys, but everyone crowning Ford as a superstar running back RIGHT NOW is retarded. Like I said, coaches just need to feed the ball to the hot hand.
I see that varying a bit from game to game, but with Murphy still getting the lions share.

Wilson is pretty notorious for yanking backs on and off so I fully expect Murphy, Ford, and Ridley to all get touches.

I am a fan of all of our RBs and will be excited to see any of them get the ball even if it's for different reasons for each one.

I usually don't prefer one player over another, ever but have a soft spot for Murphy. Hope he lights it up this year.

I wish Murphy well, but as I have said before--I want Miles to get the best RB on the field, whether it is Murphy, Ridley, Ford, or even Ware. Keep the hot hand in the game--sounds like it may not always be the same one each game. But I still did not like the way Miles put it. It sounds like nothing has changed with him-CLM always plays favorites with the upperclassmen.

Smitty is a faithful fan and more posters need to be as loyal as he is. I said time and time again that I hope that he is right about Richard because if he really is the best back in the line up, then he is one more bad motor scooter. I have watched every spring game that he was in and I can attest for his out shining everyone in the spring games. I would love to see that guy perform that well in real games this season. Here is to hoping

I just want to see an effective running game, regardless of carrier. Whether that be Ridley, Ford, Murphy, Chris Davenport or whoever; I don't care who gets it.

Just get it up the field.

Did you notice how Charles Scott and K. Williams both had terrible years last year after looking good the year before? At wide out Brandon Lafell under achieved. All are going to make NFL rosters. The offensive line was the biggest reason for their poor showing. The running backs on campus now are equally as talented. A better offensive line should help these guys play up to their level.

I am not a fan of playing a player based on seniority (not saying that is what Miles is doing). I think you play the best player. Mark Ingram won the Heismen last year as a sophomore and Roy Upchurch spent most of time on the bench as a senior, although he did contribute and is a fine football player.

Starting a player does not mean that he is going to get the most carries. It means that the coaches and players are showing him respect for gutting it out and getting back to playing form. That doesn't say he won't do good.
