Aranda was an overpaid bum, Chavis was better. Our athletes can make any coach look like a genius, Pellini will because monster.

It was Ole Miss the week after Bama on the road after embarrassing them in the first half. Classic sleepwalking half of football.

LSU D went on to pound on some pretty good offensive player.

This is a strange melt.

aranda himself said he didn't do anything to adjust to plumlee and regretted it. it's ok to say he called a terrible game.

He knew what to do but he thinks it’s an insult to his strategic planning if he uses a spy
It’s was pride not ignorance

Coaches fell a sleep also. That last TD of the Bama game where we were playing press another example.

To pull that half of football from that season and say Aranda was not a good coach is laughable.

i think it's crazy to say he's a bad football coach just because of last season, but it's totally fair to say that the defense wasn't prepared and was subpar against texas, florida, and ole miss.

all credit to the staff for figuring it out later. they finished the year with the defense everyone expected. but it's just a fact that they fell below expectations at times last year.

I’ve said the same before and was bashed for it. I will say the same now. Aranda was good. He was never Elite. Each year he was here our defense progressively got worse.

Our lb play was the most impressive I’ve seen under aranda and look at the recent lbs having success in nfl
With any first time head coach he needs to make sure he becomes the ceo of the program
That’s the toughest thing to learn
I wish aranda the best at Baylor
That’s a great first head coaching gig in a talent rich state
You can recruit your whole team from the Dallas Houston area

Aranda is a good coach and extremely smart guy scheme-wise but his style of defense just wasn’t what you’d expect of LSU or an SEC defense. He often played to contain an offense and not give up big plays rather than taking more chances and being aggressive with his pass rush. He rarely sent more than 4 guys at the QB and at most 5 with a blitzing safety whereas with Pelini you’re going to see some big plays given up now and then but you will also see 5-6 guys coming after the QB regularly with more turnovers.

Honestly, if you can’t get to the QB with 4 regularly your fricked. Offenses are too good and fast now to throw the kitchen sink at someone regularly you’re gonna get burnt.

Aranda’s issue wasn’t consistently from our one edge player. Key was inconsistent after 16. Chaisson was hurt in 17 and It’s no surprise that The defense got better right when Chaisson started getting to the QB (4.5 sacks in the last 4 games)

Give it up....too many Aranda cultists on here. After his first two years, under achieved. Last years defense was NINTH in the Sec, but they'll tell you have great he was. I'm just glad he's GONE!!!

Chavis was very good when he had great defenders in all 3 areas.

“Aranda sucks” and “Moffitt needs to go” is always a good way to weed out the retards.
