Lucky he isnt running this year because the muh gas bros would gladly vote for a meth head just to let everyone know how unhappy they are.

Unfortunately the muh gas bros like Ron but it is also the same crowd that hurt Ron because nobody likes those guys.

So they start tallying ballots before Election Day?

I assumed this was exit polling data but it says otherwise

Yeah the state of Florida does this crazy thing and counts the votes as they happen. Rather than pile them all up til election day then take weeks to count (wink wink) them.

Cubans, Latinos and Puerto Ricans

DeSantis had the majority of all three of those in his last election.

The Puerto Ricans who want to leach off the govt moved to NYC, the hard workers to Orlando.

DeSantis cleaned up all the foolishness and a purple state suddenly went bright red.
That, plus a shite ton of Republicans fled Dem states and moved there in a short span.

Florida is a red state now and the Democrat machine there is basically dead.

also I. Already voted R. My vote is meaningless in the grand scheme but why would I vote for D who hates me and wants me dead because i mildly disagree with them on a few things?

I don't know what's going on in Florida, but in both Texas and Tennessee rumors run rampant of voting irregularities. In Texas reports of votes cast for Gina Hinojosa are showing up as "Greg Abbott" on the printout, and in Tennessee votes cast for Jerri Green are defaulting to "Marcia Blackburn."

The printed record of cast ballots is the only safeguard a voter has in Texas, in an effort to prevent fraud. I did my civic duty yesterday in West Pearland and voted at the community center on Country Place Drive. The process was efficient and quite rapid considering the voting traffic at that location. And, I did check and recheck the ballot printout thoroughly, before scanning and submitting it.

That’s good news for Florida GOP.

But Not correlated to other states.

It shows GOP excitement and motivation to get out and vote. So yes, it has some correlation.

Remember when Desantis barely squeeked by the meth head? I remember

Even though Desantis wore those platform cowboy boots and did some other stupid stuff when campaigning for President, I will say he has done a phenomenal job as governor.

Especially with regards to responding to disasters. The last 3-4 hurricanes that have hit Florida he has had things put back together very fast.

We responded to Isaias (2026), Helene and Milton (2024), and Idalia (2023). All of these had massive power outages (as high as 90%) but when we left after a week the outages were almost all repaired. This is very different that the trips we have made to Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Those states take far longer to get stuff put back together.

I know that Florida has a much larger population and tax base but it still comes down to decisions and preparations made at the top.

Florida storms are so different we have changed the way we pack out for a trip. We will bring a weeks worth of frozen proteins but the fresh stuff we only bring 3-4 days worth. Then if we see the need continues we get Sysco or Wood Fruitticher to resupply us. This keeps us from wasting food (fresh produce, breads etc.) When we go to any of the other states we bring everything for the week.

Desantis somehow streamlined the coordination between FDOT, FEMA. and all primary cleanup contractors when he took office in January of 2019.

I witnessed it with my own eyes cleaning up after hurricane Michael. Rick Scott wasn’t doing bad, but Desantis made it more efficient.

The way things look now democrats maybe very disappointed on election night . The democrats breaking down the early vote on YouTube are really starting to cherry pick what they talk about .

Especially after everyone of them said Tump lost MAGA support and independents due to the cost of living.

The turnout across the country is proving that very wrong.

Was Florida ever in doubt? Who is the most competitive Democrat in Florida?

Jolly down by 2. That’s not been the norm.

Donald’s isn’t continuing the momentum thus far.

Sure, but it depends on the candidates.

I wouldn’t expect that it correlates to excitement in Maine or Kansas, for example.
