Landry definitely allowed his own personal vendetta against Woodward to harm LSU.
Its one thing to exact political revenge, its another thing to act without a solid plan. Shame on Landry. Shame on people like me who incorrectly gave him the benefit of the doubt.

This might all be true. But if you're going to fire him for that, have a solid game plan to replace him with someone better and dont make it so obvious that youre going after him for personal or political reasons.

All these moving parts aside, public relations at LSU has been an ongoing problem since the Alleva years. One would think there'd be an entire public relations team at LSU. It seems like everyone just speaks out of their arse without thinking of the implications or considering possible repercussions.

So to recap.. Woodward was fired b/c of the Kelly hire. Verge is taking his place, but maybe not. One of the qualifications that everyone keeps mentioning about Verge is that he can hire the next coach, bc he's been a part of the coaching search for the last 4 head football coaches; 3 of which were fired. Am I up to speed?
