Got some coaching to do but beat Bama and that just may happen! GT

If O says it then it will happen

LSU could lose to Bama and still make the playoff next season.

I don't think that's part of their plan but that's possible I guess. To ensure they get there they need to beat Bama. Could lose to someone else but LSU must beat Bama. Time for that monkey to get off our backs!

Bold strategy cotton. I would be disappointed if he didn't think that. I like the confidence.

I see no reason why it couldn't be possible however I think a new years 6 is more likely.

We needed this culture change. In.

Unless Canada averages 31 PPG in conference play we wont make shite.

LSU kept Bama scoreless for 3 Quarters and Aranda did not have his Defense installed. Next year it will be scoreless for 4 Quarters! Aranda stopped the Heisman Tropy Winner and Hurts is nothing!

Miles was the equivalent of a cruise ship activity director. O is the equivalent of the captain of the ship.

I don't read much into this. What is he supposed to tell them? "I don't think we'll be in the hunt next year, but if we work hard every day with the right mindset, we can reasonably aspire to be back in this very bowl game next year!"?

Should be the attitude every year

Coach speak. Nothing more, nothing less.

This is part if installing a culture at a program, especially a la Pete Carroll style. ANY coach that expects to win MUST project a positive outcome on the future.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Orgeron wasn't the guy I wanted. However, I think his plan to win is plausible. He recruits the best players. He brings in the best staff to coach them while being a force of positive energy and motivation.
I'm personally giving the Orgeron-era 2 years to produce the results he has promised. The expectations are high and we should not have 3 or 4 loss seasons. 1 loss seasons should be a max, 2 should be probation and not allowed to Happen more than once.
Bama is going to be beatable next year since they are losing their defensive superstars and are left with a talented, yet inexperienced, group. 2017 Bama is possibly a 2-loss team. Florida's defense is going to be good, but their offense will be impotent as this season. We don't need 31ppg like negatiger said above to WIN the cfp, let alone be in it.
My personal opinion is that if we can finish strong with recruiting, I.e. pull Wilson, pull Chaisson, keep shelvin, pull Etienne, pull Smith, and possibly grab Gay and Phillips, the 2016 and 2017 classes are a championship team in 2018

This over dramatizes an innacuous comment between a coach and player(s).

By hook or by crook, we must see better performance at QB next year if we want to make the CFP.
Based solely on what we have right now, I believe 9-3 is more likely than making the playoffs.
How we handle the Swamp, Bryant Denny, and Neyland Stadium next year will define our season. Auburn will be our most contentious home game. Ole Miss and Miss State have new QBs but nothing we can't handle. Ditto for Arky, and TAMU is well...TAMU.
That being said, I'm excited for the coming changes on offense, and win or lose I think we'll be fun to watch.
