Report: Les Miles ‘extremely interested’ in Ole Miss job

I am extremely interested in spending an evening with Kate Upton.

Neither are going to happen.

Les Miles at Ole Miss would be an unmitigated disaster.

His system only works when he has equal or superior talent. Even without sanctions he'll never have that.

Gee, I hope they hire him. I hate Ole Miss.

I honestly believe Les is enjoying LSU's money and is in no rush. These little media blurbs are really all he has to do to stay unbelievably rich for the next decade. If anything gathers steam, I'm sure he tells these schools himself to not take his application all that seriously. And who could really blame the guy? I'd be doing the same thing.

They could do worse. The way I see it, Miles wouldn't be a long-term solution. He would be a stabilizer for a few years while the sanctions play out. He has a good record with the NCAA and is perceived as a guy with integrity with regard to running a clean program. He could set up shop for a few years with the expectation being that he stabilizes the program. Anither plus for OM is that he could probably be HS for under market rate right now since LSU is paying him as well for a couple more years. I've seen stranger thing s happen (especially when it come to Les Miles).

Who cares? He's not LSU's head coach anymore

should we also not care about Honey Badger or Fournette? I mean, they're not LSU players anymore.

Why do people forget that Les got LSU football it's first major violation in nearly 25 years.

Les didn't run as clean a program as many liketo believe but he wasnt a massive cheater.

no reason why he shouldn' win 80% of his games at another SEC school just like he did at LSU and that creates basically another bama scenario within the SEC west.

Let me think. At 63 does he want to rebuild an Old Miss on probation or watch his kids play college sports while drawing a $135,000 per month check from LSU? I bet he goes with the check from LSU.

Why do people keep glossing over the fact that he's said that he really wants to coach again. If he didn't lie about that (which he had no reason to do so), then he will take the job if offered.

It's a win for Ole Miss too. You get a coach with a "good man" reputation, with experience in the SEC W, and a national championship to boot. It's not like there are better candidates out there. Even if he didn't perform as well as LSU liked (towards the end especially) that's not to say Ole Miss would feel the same. They would be ecstatic to lose only 4 games a year.

if it was me, i would sit back and enjoy that fat check.
however it is fair to say that most of us havent made millions for decades like he has. im sure boredom can set in at some point, especially if the money isnt that big of a deal to you
