Evans essentially threw a bull pen tonight. He will be ready to pitch on Wed should he be needed and if we go 2-0 he will start the Friday game if needed he won’t pitch Wed.

While I was in favor of Shores staying in I didn't hate Evans coming in because im sure Arky was expecting to see Shores again and they didn't seem ready for Evans.
And im glad Evans was able to get out there and get his feet wet in that environment in a pressure situation.

say you keep shores in and he walks a batter ,then someone squares up 101 ,it doesn't take much to get out of the park with that heat. even if we won with shores in the 9th, we wouldn't be able to use him Monday. now nobody is burned but Anderson
