Remember when the Student Section used to be courtside?

Yeah then the powers that be made up some lame arse excuse that "the students wanted to be moved behind the goal". frick that shite
LSU basketball got really shitty under Trent when they moved the students behind the goal so students stopped going because the team sucked. So there was no way they were going to move the students back when there was no one going to the games.
They moved the student section at the worst possible time.

I don't think our students could fill up the entire sideline like Auburn does. LSU could do it once or twice a year, but that may be it. Hopefully next year the students will make a presence at most all of the games. Next year's team could be really good.

LSU student section was moved because 65% of it was empty for most games. Why should the best seats in the PMAC be empty most of the time?

It was never courtside because LSU has an entire sideline of whoring itself out to anyone that will buy an ad.

But when it was down on the sideline LSU students did most games.
LSU moved the section then decided to take a decade off from basketball. It went hand in hand. The teams sucked a students stopped going.

Students weren't going even before that. Nobody was ever there in 2006 until midway through the SEC.

This is the student section for the Alabama game in 2006. The 4th SEC game of the season and just the 2nd at home.. Your move.

The students packed the house in 2009. 2010 was the last season down there and the team went 11-20 (2-14). No one was at the games.

You can post a random picture from a 2006 sec game but the fact of the matter is except for the last half of 2006 & 2009 the student section was mostly empty. You can deny it all you want, but it was.

That picture is from the front half of 2006. If it was that full for the 2nd home SEC game (in a season where LSU didn't lose a home SEC game) then it was full for all of them. The team only got better and the fans kept showing up.
