He would probably been very good at it. Les recruited a couple of good DBs in his day.
Are you serious right now? Jamar is now safely the 2nd best WR in the history of LSU football and could easily pass Josh Reed next year. Come on gold. You’re better than this

So you don't believe Jamarr Chase could've been a good DB?

I don’t know. Like you don’t know.

I do know that he’s easily a top 2 WR in LSU history.

I take back what I said. Your not better than this if your honestly trying to defend trying to move Chase to DB.

By the way - Jamars dad said I’d they would have kept recruiting him at DB then they were going elsewhere.

So maybe he would have been an All American but it wouldn’t have been at LSU.

Plenty of people feel the same way about this thread. What's the purpose here?

Because that's what people that don't know shite do. They have to make up stuff.

Plenty people felt the same way when you said O couldn’t lead LSU to the CFB playoff

You certainly didn’t care about bashing a coach then.

So why do you now?

Saying I didn't think he would get us here is bashing now. Got it.

Post 2012 Les Miles would have won 9 games and lost the bowl game with this team.

Jamar Chase is a Sophmore

It’s 2019

It was Les was telling Jamar his junior season that he wanted him at DB. That’s why Jamar almost went to TCU or Florida.

But yeah he was about 12....

I wasn’t trying to be a dick. Actually was asking. Looking back at it, it seems Chase was beginning his junior year in high school. It’s kind of hard to project some kids at that age when Miles would’ve been recruiting him. I don’t put a lot of stock into this since kids change positions all the time after getting to college.

LSU was set to accomplish so much after the team Saban built.

2004 wasn't very much fun for me. Squeakers against Oregon State, Ole Miss and Troy; we got thrashed by Georgia, and to cap it all off we looked overmatched against fricking Iowa in the bowl game as Saban quit on the team on his way out the door to Miami

2005-2007, the early Les years, were way more fun than the late Saban ones.

Plus Chase is a Sophomore and Les was Fired in 2016 - Chase got here last year. This thread is a joke. These are probably the same knuckleheads trashing O when he got the job.

Yeah and I’d bet Stingley would be a great WR.

We’ll get to find out before he’s gone.

On the other hand, I always thought that Michael Clayton
would have been better at safety. He loved to hit and his
route running left something to be desired, which was a major reason his NFL career was cut short. He was too easy to cover because there was no deception in his routes.

Because we really need another shite on Miles thread?

more about how miserable our fan base is sometimes. Aside from the fact that I never once heard this before (not that this means anything, I’m pretty in the dark at times).

Come and coach at LSU, win at a pace better than anyone before, win a national title, play for another, get crapped on by the fans.

Did you know that after his sophomore year in HS when Les wanted him to play DB? Guys, Jamar Chase has incredible physical talent. His talent would have translated to safety just like it has at receiver. Chase's physique screams "Safety". There is nothing wrong with Miles suggesting he move to safety.

Now, had Miles stayed at LSU, and had he insisted on safety and lost Chase, then that would be stupid. You don't lose a talent like Chase because of quibbling over position. Get him on campus and let it sort out - just like Miles did with Devin White.

And don't say "Miles was going to lose Chase." We don't know what would have happened if Miles had stayed. He probably would have recognized that Chase wasn't coming to play safety, and he would have adjusted his pitch. But we'll never know.

How about how he handled Russell Shepard. That guy was a beast in high school, and has done pretty well in sticking around the NFL.
He just seemed like a fish out of water with us and that shouldn’t have happened.
