56 million in grants to 175 minority focused ngos that only claim that tag so they get preferential placement at the govt teat.

They counsel people on how to buy a home? Ya really think thats what they do? For three people while they pocket the rest and spend some to pay people to protest.

I really wish the fed govt would just ignore these cases, the judge has no standing on this issue. Just cut the funding and let the advocacy groups waste time and money trying to get to the supreme court.

“ I'll give an example. Alabama just passed a patently illegal law (death penalty for sex offenders). Was that law fare?”

It is without doubt a fair law. It is not just about tying up people in court regardless of it’s merits, which is what lawfare intentions are.

I thought NY went after Trump to sling more mud on him and keep his name in the headlines in a bad way.

No, you are not creating any definitions. However, you are rejecting definitions of the term. On top of that, not only do you reject other definitions, but you offer no such opinion. Thus, in my opinion, your words are worthless.

patently illegal law
please explain that way. which law is it violating? cruel and unusual are very subjective, thus not "patently" illegal.

I did. You're proving my point by adding more definitions. My argument is at the term is malleable and people change the definition for the argument and you just gave several examples proving my point

The only way that law ever becomes enforced is by tying up people in court

That was a really bad response to make your ignorant comment.

The law is patently illegal and there is precedent that I cited. There's nothing contrarian about being right

Mostly ignorant statement as it’s the democrats using their subversive tactics to push further destructive policies or use courts to get injunctions on reasonable policies or actions even in cases where existing laws exist, such as illegal immigration or illegal voting

“ It's a nonsense term with no set definition”

Kind of like democrats thoughts on biological men and women. Well that and American citizens as democrats think that illegals are actually lawful citizens.

You actually think that you would get a honest response? Generally speaking when he gets cornered he stands down in his retorts

I like most people who believe in the reason for such a law would like to see them tied up. Just in the town square and the knots around the neck dangling

Alabama just passed a patently illegal law (death penalty for sex offenders). Was that law fare? Will it become law fare if they ever try to enforce it? Will appealing a ruling be law fare? Can its law fare status be cleansed with a wholesale change in the law by the USSC?

Why would that be an example of lawfare?

It is a direct attempt to challenge the Kennedy decision. They're trying to get the current SCOTUS to reverse that precedent.

Again, that's not the purpose of it.

They are expecting the first person who gets sentenced to death under it to challenge it legally. That's what they want.

Just like the state legislatures did with abortion to get Roe V Wade overturned.
