You're right. He probably never watches him kick ever. Maybe Ramos made a bad kick. If there's ever a game to try something like that it was this one.

Dumb comment. Of course he knows his limit. Maybe...and hear me out.... he's made them in practice and was letting him try it in an actual game to build confidence.
You fricks are pathetic.

It almost seems like Kelly has some kinda hatred towards Burrell

he was like 2 for 10 in practice from 50 plus in the summer. hes just not accurate . if he could hit anything at all he would get a shot

word is Ramos is good up to 55 but capable of 60
Burrell is capable of 70
today ramos got under it and hit a fly ball instead of a lower line drive
I dont understand why we tried it either

One aspect of Brian Kelly's tenure that is indefensible even by his biggest supporters is his neglect of STs. He clearly had no idea what that dudes limit was.

We have a great punter, a good kicker, and great returners.

It was SLU. Maybe they were just having fun. And btw, that wasn’t so short because of the kicker’s range. It was short because he mis-hit it.

59 minus the 10 he fell short. 49 is about his max trustworthy range.

He was finding the limit in a blow out win. How can you not see that?

He just caught it too low on the ball. It was just about dead center. Just short.

Should have had Burrell kick that one

Did someone send in the wrong kicker? It may have been practiced with Burrell, but someone miscommunicated. Otherwise, it was simply foolish.

Also, word is that Burrell is generally less accurate. Booming leg, great for kickoff, may not be ideal for FGs when you have Ramos, who hits at a very good clip despite the Rant's opinion. I didn't love that try, but I didn't hate it either.

I think he can hit a 59 yarder if he strikes it just right, but that kick was just a disaster off the foot
