That’s a shame, they should have just left it how it was, yea it was a mistake but it’s one of those things that was iconic and hilarious. I don’t think anyone hated Hawthorne or anything because of it, just a funny thing that happened.

He is still my favorite cornerback to don the purple n gold.
I am still upset with how he turned in the NFL. He had a good career but I thought he would be an all pro as a rookie lol

DB yes. He played some 2-way at safety vs UT in 2003 (2002 season) Cotton Bowl and delivered some big hits in limited snaps. Not surprising given his kick coverage skills. As usual, Saban wasn’t wrong. Would MC have had a longer NFL career if he had listened to Nick? Maybe.

Might try moving Stevens to LB to put more speed and underneath coverage on the field. Gonna have to leave 2 safeties on top because our CBs can’t cover or tackle so having Harris and Hampton back there for that is probly better than constantly having to drop Stevens into the box to make plays near the LOS which tips off the offense.

I love how all the video's out there have that whole piece edited out now. It goes from elated "TOUCHDOWN" to a lower key "I DO NOT BELIEVE IT". Sad times we live in.
