Before winning all those championships. No preseason. Lack of elite weapons and a swiss cheese oline. Did you really expect Burrow to come in and take them to the superbowl his 1st year?!?

Hey Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman had one of the best coaches of all time (college & Pro) at Dallas....plus a trade of Hershel Walker to get 11 picks to build around him.

Joe does NOT have any of that

It’s like the team has no desire. They couldn’t stop a miniature dog from running on them.

So who is Cincinnati going to trade for a mega deal like Hershel Walker gave Dallas.

Not the same situation.

Bengals don't have a Herschel Walker to trade for an entire team of draft picks

They will likely have 1st pick in the draft and some team will give them a ton of picks for Sunshine.

The Bengals should fleece whatever team wants Lawrence #1 overall next year for multiple 1st and 2nd rounders over the next few years, plus maybe a current lineman or receiver.

I could see a lot of the NFC South getting involved. Brady/Brees close to retirement, Carolina with Bridgewater who is not a long term solution at all (that contract tho, goodness). Even the steelers might be looking to move from Big Ben, he's close to 40 with 1 year left after this season.

Then you have the Jets with Darnold who may be looking in a different direction at QB. Chargers with Tyrod Taylor as a rent-a-QB for now.

Troy Aikmen had a terrible first year as a QB.

Hope they get an historic trade for Herschel Walker to build an unreal offensive line.

I hate to say it but Burrow will play his 4 yr contract decline his option and go somewhere else that can be competitive. Do you think Jerry Jones wouldnt throw Mahomes money at him to get rid of Dak... NO may still be looking for Brees replacement at that time as well

Except the Cowboys went 3-13. They went 1-15 in Troy's first year which was the next season. So they had 4 wins in 2 years.

This is how Burrow would've looked at LSU if Les Miles was still the coach.

That's not the point. He's just saying brighter days are ahead, not that they're going to turn into a dynasty.
