It really saddened me to see dandy say in his last thanksgiving day address that his doctors predicted that to be his last....his thanksgiving day post is something that I have really grown to look forward to as a kick off of the holiday season...

like a lot of you, I have started my day off with dd and a cup of community coffee every day for over 15 years...I have to say that scott is doing a fine job of writing the column now and was just inspired to see dd get a chance to throw out the opening baseball pitch...

sure, you can get info faster here now, but dd is just a damn nice way to start off your day...

Yes, this is very sad. I have had the pleasure of meeting Dandy Don & he is really a class act, very knowledgable, usually has great sources & passes on some solid info. It seems like his son posts most, if not all, of the updates now.

I wish him the very best, but realize that healthwise, he is fighting a very difficult battle.

I also read Dandy Don everyday. We did an accounting of websites visited at work and Don was read daily by almost everyone. It was ridiculous. reliable as the sunrise.

He is what every Tiger fan should strive to be. He is always supportive of LSU. Like a lot of you, I have been reading DD since the late 90's, and when I am unable to read the blog, it seems like the day is not complete. DD, you are the man!

Crap!! I hate hearing this! when DD first announced he was diagnosed with Colon Cancer I reached out to share my diagnosis with him as well. DD was very supportive and encouraging to me...He's a good man and I pray for the "miracle of healing"!!
