You put your strongest unit on the field first. Depends on how your offense and defense compares to the opponents.

So there is another option…,there was a game under Les Miles where we kicked off to start the game and kicked off to start the second half and it had nothing to do with weather or anything else. Just straight up dumbassery.

There's a third option-- the famous Curley Shuffle: win the toss, and elect to kick (not defer)!

Tell that to Mascona and few other idiots around here. They seem convinced that you absolutely should defer every time and say you get a extra possession by doing so which is insane talk.

What I would do? The majority of the time I would defer but a lot goes into deciding that. What is the weather? Will the weather change later in the game? How has my offense and defense been performing? What is the strength and weaknesses of my opponent?
