When Andre Anthony went down. It gave LSU Dline a bigger option on the strong side. Might be a great fit!

If you looked at him without anything to compare his size, he looks like a DE. Then you realize he’s over 300 lbs and bigger than everyone and it’s like, holy crap

Maason was playing there before Andre went down but I agree

I love the creativity

He was crashing the pocket every time

Just bull rushing over and over again

I hate to be this guy but wouldn’t it make more sense in a 3/4

Have BJ as the stand up buck and our 300 pounders on fhe line

I don’t know if Evans can play nose but our roster screams 3-4 to me

But I guess it really doesn’t matter that much

I actually thought he was pretty ineffective at DE compared to DT personally. More disrupting when he played inside.

He is obviously a DE. That’s almost certainly what he’ll play at the next level.

He’s one of those rare dudes that don’t look smaller with a single digit number. Like Derrick Brown at Auburn.

This! As good as he is, he doesn’t appear to have the speed and moves of a defensive end. The two positions require a different skill set. I am not saying he can’t be great and develop into a great DE, he just needs to work on some of those patented defensive end moves.

He can’t use his leverage on the end as well as he does inside

That bulrush when he gets his arms locked out means trouble for OL

This pretty much. You can tell DE in 4-3 is very new to him. He even got thrown to the ground at least once at DE this game pretty easily as he's clearly figuring things out there.

PFF had him the lowest graded player on defense this game, 53.3 overall. Which isn't actually bad, but I think it shows he struggles at end compared to DT. They charted him with 20 snaps at DT and 18 at DE. So pretty even split.

And glad to see him getting more snaps.

I respectfully disagree. His hand work was awful at DE. He got neutralized on most plays at DE. If he can’t bull rush, he is lost. That will change over time but he is far more effective inside right now.

I really didn’t like him at DE. I know i’m in the minority though. He seemed off balance a lot out there at end.

He’s going to be the best college DL since Suh.

Reminds me of Dorsey pre-chop block but probably even quicker.
