2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 anyone notice a trend here? Though hopefully it is just an every 4 year thing not only when the NC is in New Orleans.

I thought prior to Saturday night, we would get back in the hunt when a vein ruptured in the midget's forehead, but after watching him and AJ sharing the love, all we can hope for is his ego drives him to either try and wipe out the one blemish on his record and go back to the NFL (unlikely) or try and bring another program to the pinnacle and bolt for UTw.

How does Bama seem to lose so many players like we do year after year but seem to not lose a step. We on the other hand are always rebuilding

They have Saban and we are stuck with Miles.

This thread right here.

Thank you guys. A bit of common sense and applaud you guys for knowing how football works unless you're on an amazing run like Alabama is on right now.

College football is cyclical and I preach that all the time. Between attrition and kids maturing, there's going to be seasons that are "down."

95% of the threads I've read here lately are identical to what we read in 2008-2009 claiming Miles will never have the program at the top again. Miles will never win again. 2011 SEC champs. 1 game away from repeating that in 2012.

But again, the inferiority complex with alot of these people totally eliminate common sense and what has happened THROUGHOUT college football history.

But hey, let's go ahead and fire Les Miles like everyone wants to do and have to pretty much start completely over with another coach, another system, let the 2013 recruiting class that is going to be LSU's best EVER (up to 7-5* athletes) fall apart and start from scratch.

Makes total sense, right?

The offense is decent this year. The defense has been the weak point because of alot of defections. You don't just replace that (Yes, Alabama has, but I don't have an inferiority complex) and expect to just keep plugging right along.

Unfortunately, next year I'm sure they will take a step back because of the learning curve with Anthony Jennings and the loss of, inevitably, Beckham and Landry (who is going to be an All-Pro WR. THANKS LES!) .

Once the defense and offense catch up to each other, that's when you have your championship runs. Agree on the 2015 run. It's coming.

Why should I think 2015 will be better positioned than we were in 2012?

exactly, hell even gumps were telling us 2011 was not our year but 2012 was. so much for that! It definitely was not this year either!

FIFY. I just wonder how many of those top recruits at that BAMA game will now go to BAMA and not LSU.

Because they have the best coach in the country. People need to stop comparing us or any program to Bama and what Saban has done there. I know it sucks but it's just a fact.

In college football there are windows to compete for a championship (windows for everyone except for Alabama). 2005-2007 and 2010-2012 were windows for us. You'll see that 2015 will start another window for us.

Remember all those great FSU teams under Bobby Bowden won only 1 National Championship. The same can be said for Spurrier at Florida, and Carrol at USC. The fact that Saban is making it look easy. doesn't mean that it really is from a historical perspective.

I know that many of us have PTSD from 1/9/12 and 11/3/12 (11/3/12 hurt worse in my opinion), but perspective has never been the LSU fan base's strength...

Keep the Faith, we will be back...

One cavet, if the defensive doesn't show signs of improvement next year, it might be time to part ways with the Chief.

depending on who returns. If johnson, ego, collins, hill and one of the two landry or obj return. Next year. if they don't two years.

Can't spell Les miles without 2 L's. With that said we will have a solid class but no matter what we always seem to throw away a couple games
