Who are some guys that we could realistically go out and hire? I’ve seen Kendall Briles, Dan Enos, and Hugh Freeze tossed around. Anyone else? Hiring Ensminger would be the kiss of death for O.

Dan Enos should be #1 on the list.

Creative, run first offense that is similar to what LSU has ran since its inception. We don't need to overreact and go full spread and get soft all while compromising our biggest strength, our defense.

I completely agree. Those that are calling for a spread/uptempo offense sound like morons.

Creative run offense? That should be appealing to top qb prospects

I would rather go with a pro style offense and look at Tee Martin. He has experience as a qb coach and should be an incredible recruiter

Why do people who want spread and a faster tempo sound like morons?

I like how Clemson turned all “soft” in whipping Bama’s arse for a National Championship last year, and are in the college football playoff again.

But yeah, let’s hire Dan Enos. Because Arkansas lit the fricking world on fire. I know, rabble, rabble, we have better players rabble rabble.

Get out of the Stone Age people.

Apparently the rant likes an OC that runs East/West instead of North/South.

So anyone willing to run multiple jet sweeps. I want the rant to be happy.

Also, someone who will pass a lot. Ignoring the best offensive player on the team.

Jody, you sound like an a-hole. What is Ensminger going to do when the RB isn't Fournette/Guice but Brossette?

It truly does not matter who we hire, our fans will still bitch about it.

This is mental. Most of the good teams these days run a power spread look i.e. Bama, Ohio State, Clemson, Auburn etc, just because You run a version of the spread doesnt mean you've gone soft. And what about Arkansas's offense has been attractive in the last decade or would even make you consider us wanting to emulate it?

It’s got to be Freeze or Eddie wouldn’t have brought the ax down on Canada

They’re the exception. Auburn is a run first spread. They are also the exception. If we can do something like that, I’m all for it.

For the most part, spread offenses look like A&M. Your defense also looks like A&M or Ole Miss.

It seems to me that Canada's game plan is built to disguise a weak o-line, which we needed at the time, but will not moving forward. Oeaux going to bring in someone who can use the talent we have with creativity.

It would take at least 2-3 years to get the kind of personnel for that system and our fan base does not have the patience for that. I’m also a firm believer that on average, teams that run that type of offense sacrifice great defensive play. Sure there are a few exceptions, but the numbers back that up.
