Understand that we are not gonna get some big fish with the cloud hanging over the program. We will get an up and coming mid major coach or a mediocre washed up veteran….as much as I loved Wade he was extremely sloppy and now we will pay the penalty. In my opinion that will be a one year post season ban and some scholarships lost. We will not be relevant for at least 3 years. So temper your expectations. It is what it is

Expectations for lsu basketball

Challenge for an sec title every 2 or 3 years

Ncaa round of 32 minimum each year for a season go be considered a success

Sweet 16 every 3 years or so

Final 4 every 7-9 years or so

Wade haters will be happy with 10 wins a year, they’ll just keep blaming him and aren’t really basketball fans so it’s a win win. But honestly, after the first year the new guy has to pick up where we left off, there’s no excuse anymore because it’s just been done.

Now compare this to the 100+ years of LSU Basketball

We were 9-9 against a mediocre SEC field this year before NCAA sanctions. It’ll be a new dark age for LSU basketball and you can thank Wade for that.

Oklahoma St, Louisville and Arizona all have sanctions looming over them how do they get to keep rolling and getting coaches they want and we are stuck with scraps?

Louisville and Arizona are way better basketball programs and OSU didn't really keep it rolling, they were just good last year because of Cade Cunningham.

I have no expectations. I’ll pay big money when we’re good and forget they exist when we aren’t. That’s 99% of LSU fans. The AD better have an air tight plan in place or the program is dead for a while.

SEC wasn’t mediocre, however no realistic person can expect success for a while. The timeline speeds up with the transfer portal, but still will likely be in the bottom for a couple years. And yes, will wade us to blame.
