I just need to get this over with..because it was obvious during the season how ignorant our basketball fanbase is, and it continues through this terrible time.

Whether you agree or not, the NCAA is going to come down on us. There seemed to be a large contingent that thought Woodward firing Wade and not having his back AT ALL meant the NCAA would go light on us…LOLZ. Y’all were silly.

Many were CONVINCED Scott Drew, or some WHALE would come. Why would you ever think that? This program is about to have 2-3 year ban with 3-4 year roster restrictions.

Which brings me to my point. I said this a week ago…Woodward has now allowed the NCAA to destroy us. We will lose every recruit (already there), we will lose every player from this team, we will get bottom of the absolute barrel transfers. Why? Because kids want to play in the tournament. They want to have their talent showcased.

Woodward gave McMahon a 7 year deal and a year can be tacked on for every season we have a sanction. I mean they’re expecting a total and utter clusterfrick. You’re living under a rock and living in an alternate reality if you think we can compete anytime soon.

Y’all can say Wade messed up and caused this, but woodward signed off on this death sentence. Keeping Wade around would have the same, possible less impact. Those kids on the team this year were offered money by everyone. They came here for him. Woodward has set our new coach up for failure while promising him boatloads of money…our program won’t be relevant again for a decade.

Oh he allowed the NCAA

I forgot They needed our permission to sanction us.

Thread title starts so reasonable and then you descend into fantasy land.

Thank god for the transfer portal. Makes turnarounds quicker. I think it’s impossible to speculate what the punishment will be.

Not necessarily. Schools in recent years have tended to follow the "DENY, DENY, DENY" strategy toward their NCAA charges and have been given no sanctions at all or only a slap on the wrist at most.

Only the schools that have come clean and admitted the charges have been slammed heavily by the NCAA because "they admitted being cheaters."

We'll just have to see which of the above strategies that Woodward employs before passing full judgement on the program's future...

NIL makes any potential sanctions a lot easier to deal with. I think it’ll be a couple scholarships and that’s it in my opinion.

just come right out and say you’re a total fricking idiot, you’re basically already there

I’ve said it a lot since Wade was fired and I’ll say it again: the people who dislike Woodward are the dumbest, pettiest group of barely literate rednecks I’ve ever seen

Honestly I’m shocked at what the ncaa does and doesn’t do to punish schools. It has all the makings of ole miss football but mark Emmett bbq’s with Woodward. I wouldn’t be shocked if we got a few winks about what to do and not do

And the responses in this thread have further proved how ignorant the fans continue to be

The NCAA is a sham organization. The universities who stand up to them get no repercussions. Y’all are in denial about the reality of what happened. Denial or ignorance.

Wow!!! We are all dumber for having to read this. Thanks for your insight, but you are clueless.
We will receive a one year ban at most……if you think an up and coming coach like McMahon would come here if we are gonna be irrelevant for a decade then you are a special kind of stupid

Oh you can frick right off

Woodward had no choice but to fire that dumbfrick Wade. He was paying players out of his personal banking account. Anyone who thinks Woodward was wrong in cutting Wade’s throat can GTFO just like him.

Everything Will Wade accomplished at LSU will forever be stained by his dumbfrickery. Nothing he did here matters anymore.

frick him and his supporters

I loved Wade, but Woodward wouldn’t have fired him unless it absolutely needed to be done. I’m fairly confident of that much.

The NCAA fricking hates Wade so they would have reamed us either way. Can’t imagine thinking keeping him would make our punishment lighter.

My bad, I had no idea you worked for the NCAA. However, I did have an idea you have followed ZERO of the other 20 ncaa basketball sandals currently ongoing. Please, continue with your ignorant thoughts

And I’ll say it again…the fans who think he’s some badass who “gets his guy” are ignorant little children who don’t have a grasp on college athletics. Y’all are the same people that have praised every other coach while shitting on Wade. You are literally stupid.

You calling me a redneck is actually one of the funnier things I’ve been called seeing the degrees I have along with the places I’ve lived.

I know Woodward is a heftier boy, but try to take that dick out ya mouth, young man

Firing your coach for cause then trying to defend his actions doesn't really look that good in the scheme of things...

shite, now the NCAA can easily offer him amnesty to be their snitch.

Extremely well, actually. I get out of rough situations quite flawlessly. If you play golf, consider me a scrambler. Get into tough spots and come out well ahead

You, however, don’t understand what’s about to happen to this program. We are going to lose every player and y’all think we are just gonna rebuild for some unknown reason

This is one dumb arse take. Please explain how LSU would have shown cause to keep Wade. Because ya know, he’s about to get a 10 year show cause penalty.

Do you even know what a show cause is?

Since Wade was already at LSU, we would not have to show cause why to keep him. We would have had certain reporting requirements and been under a microscope, but the NCAA does not get to fire coaches or ban them from coaching. The is not what a show cause does.

Dumbass comments like this only support what the OP said, most LSU fans are clueless.

I have said since day 1, if we fire Wade it will set us back 5-10 years. Woody didn’t just let this happen, he wanted it to happen. He wanted his guy here and is arrogant enough to think he could do better than Wade…well, he didn’t.

Keep Wade and ride the storm out, not Woody, he didn’t like him and now we will be back to wandering in the wilderness.

Woodward was the one violating the rules? After the suspension in 2019 didn't Wade and his attorneys agree if notifications of violations are presented he could be dismissed?

quote:

We will lose every recruit (already there)

Maybe/ Maybe not, we are talking about 17 & 18 year old kids making emotional decisions.

quote:

Many were CONVINCED Scott Drew

This is the Rant dude, 5 people being "CONVINCED" dosen't make it an entire fanbase.

Ready for the fun one????

quote:

This program is about to have 2-3 year ban with 3-4 year roster restrictions.

#1) You have no more proof of this being true as the rant being CONVINCED Scott Drew being the next coach.

#2 Who put LSU in this position to have all the sanctions? They guy you think Woodard shouldn't have fired. So your theory is keep Wade and NCAA is going to more leinant.

quote:

Those kids on the team this year were offered money by everyone

Link ? But, Wade got them to sign with LSU , So you admit he's a cheater.

quote:

but woodward signed off on this death sentence

Woodward trying to clean up a mess,

quote:

our program won’t be relevant again for a decade.

Now you are just being emotional

Because he has 5 level 1 infractions, same as Bill Self. 4 of which are complete abs utter accusations with zero proof. There is one that sticks and it dates back to VCU in which he went to the FBI. If you fight for him it’s a slap on the wrist

It’s honestly concerning to me how little people read the allegations. And it’s even more concerning how little y’all understand of or.

Y’all don’t realize these are just accusations and they don’t have clear abs precise details. They have hearsay, which any decent lawyer can squash. Which is what auburn, Kansas, Alabama, creighton, etc etc etc have done
