If he leaves for a lateral position move, that is 100% an indictment on Orgeron and Alleva.
We have a pipeline of insanely talented DBs and Raymond is largely responsible for that.
Elias Ricks might get pissed off too.

He is looking for respect.
Orgeron has given him none and paid much lesser coaches more money.
Is or isn't he one of the highest paid secondary coaches in the country?

TBL would UGA really want to bring Raymond in as DC while unproven tho?

Yeah because Kirby is the DC.
It’d be the same thing Saban did with Kirby.

Corey wants to be a DC. I have spoken with him about this many times. This is just not a money move. Lsu will match UGA if it is just a DB coach move. Also he was not slighted by the hiring of Billy Busch.
Well I can understand that. I'd hate to lose him if he jumps for UGA.

Our sites are saying he's interviewing for the DB position, not d coordinator

Working under Kirby as a on-the-job training gig as a way to be DC at a big program as a way to bypass having to be a DC at a little shite school first is a great career move. Remember when Pruitt was just a lowly db coach then got a ring at FSU the next year as DC?
That is what rayray gonna do.

Mel Tucker was unproven, he was a D line coach at Bama and Kirby brought him over to be DC. Now Mel is the head coach at Colorado. Make no mistake it’s Kirby’s defense and he has his hands in it, which has worked out well for the dawgs. If Corey is offered DC I don’t blame him for leaving. Hell who couldn’t blame him for moving up the ranks.

Yeah good point... Realized that after asking. Bringing in Raymond is purely for recruiting elite corner talent and coaching. Smart move by Smart. I would be very worried about his replacement O hired potentially, Seeing as his track record has not been steller.

If he’s the DB coach at UGA that is not any better training than being under Aranda as DB coach.

Figured this

Seems like a huge snake move to tell Stingley and his parents you’re going to be his position coach (#1 reason he signed with us) then interview with another school 3 weeks after he signs. If it’s a $$$ thing do it behind closed doors

Just the nature of the business. You keep doing your job until you take another one.

Has Maurice Hampton sent in his LOI or can RayRay bring him to UGA?
