Nah ... it is what it is. I don't judge LSU based on a single game, I judge them on the body of work. This wasn't meant to be a championship season for LSU for a number of reasons (dumb arse players, injuries, etc) ... but that doesn't mean I need to pull for 'Bama to somehow make me feel better about the season. Anyone who paid attention Saturday night knows exactly what LSU is ... they don't need Bama winning a championship to validate anything.

Why would Bama winning the whole thing crush you so bad??? Like I have said I am NOT a HOMER[HATE other teams fan], BUT ...........I am a college football fan. do I like LSU over any other team??? Easy ... I hate Bama. Period. That hate began back in the Johnny Musso days (the original Italian Stallion), and hasn't subsided since.
However, it won't crush me if they win ... I just won't get any perverted sense of joy over seeing them win their 3rd title in 4 years.

I personally think that Oregon can do it....certainly not likely but possible. The one game I would take Les Miles over Saban in is a BCS bowl. Remember, Texas was coming back on them. They blew out us last year with our inept offensive performance but we should have kept that game closer.
To me, the perfect scenario is us winning the Sugar over ND and Bama losing 31-21 to Oregon.

What about Florida beating them in the SEC championship and then going on to the BCSNCG? I wouldn't care if Fla. got another one but good Lord I can't stomach bama winning 3 in 4.

You know, I realize it doesn't "help" LSU for Bama to win another title, but the heck with it. I'd just as soon they did win- and that nobody else comes near them. That way, it could possibly "help" LSU in that we outplayed them, and should have won.
I don't want Bama to beat us, and then lose to someone else. If the above scenario plays out, and LSU wins out and maintains the offense we saw against Bama, then once again we go into next season as a major player in the title talk. Maybe even the favorite due to more experience for our more talented QB.

Exactly. I used to pull for the SEC to do well all the time until that year that is was pretty obvious that the refs were making all those calls to favor Florida and Alabama. (I think this was the year of the Patrick Peterson interception that was not called). Anyway, ever since then my SEC loyalty has died! I HATE bama and will pull against them every single time...screw them!!

They also have no reason to have any conference pride.
I mean frick, the entire conference was eliminated from title talks a few weeks into the season, and had multiple points where they didn't have a single ranked team.
