That is the best part of this time of year! I love watching the bracket play out. I can see UCF coming out of that Regional, but not Stony Brook. Just my opinion.

1. Oregon State
2. UCF
3. Miami

They lost 11 games this year, I think like 8 of those near the beginning of the season, 9 by 2 runs or less, 1 by 3 runs....top 10 OBP, Slugging, ERA, fielding, baserunning top 30, just some good stuff.

Baserunning, Nick Goody, Raph not hitting .500

I can't wait for tomorrow around noon, start watching some scores and games

hey man did you see Samford is throwing their #2 @ Mississippi State? Granted their guys are 1 & 1A, but still interesting strategy nonetheless. Their coach gets it. Its not about winning just 1 game, but the whole regional.
I like UCF to come out of Miami, but Stony Brook could make some noise. Seems like everyone's pretty down on uThug

As you noted earlier, could be due to crappy competition. According to Boyd's World, their strength of schedule is 82.

Like I said, their SOS is a joke, so I'm sure that factors in, still impressive though

I'm good then. Isn't it great to be having these discussions again??? I love post-season baseball. See you in Omaha.

I saw that and I still want to call bullshite. I think it's retarded and an unnecessary calculated risk as a 3 seed facing one of the hottest teams in the nation and one of the best pitching staffs in the country. I'm interested to see if Cohen then goes with Stratton if Samford throws their #2. Could all be mind games at this point.
Also, I see a bit of a difference in Samford's #1 and #2 but you're right, it's not much... Even though at this point, I still think you gotta throw your #1 as a 3 seed.
Josh Martin (#1) is 12-1 with a 2.96 ERA in 103 IP he has 90K and 30 BB
Charles Basford (#2) is 9-2 with a 3.95 ERA in 98 IP he has 54K and 26 BB.
But as stated earlier, we shall see.

I actually agree with saving your #1 as a 3 seed

I think it is really easy for us fans to say "Oh yeah, Cindarella State University as a 3 seed should hold their ace just in case they win. What else do they have to lose?"
But in reality, those teams don't think that way. They go game by game and want to focus on just Friday.
How else did those teams get to where they are? Undoubtedly, it's because that ace put the team on his back (JJ reference).
If I am the ace, I want the ball the first game of the tournament to get that first win and get that shite rolling for my ball club.

NikeU gets a 5th national seed but can't quite win the conference. Here is the ending of game 2 of that series. The final pitch of the game, OSU up 3-2.
Damn, y'all have a series butthurt complex about that school over there.
