Only an idiot believes anyone wants a failed O. Thinking O is going to fail is a lot different than wanting it to happen.

No thanks, not until alleva is gone. Otherwise Ensminger or Peveto is gonna be the next head coach.

I’m only interested in replacing our idiot AD.

ETA: AD has to be the first to go. If O fails (which I don’t want because you always lose some ground and money with a coaching change), I’d like to see them interview Neal Brown. It’s still too early to tell for sure that it’s sustainable, but the guy has completely turned Troy around in three years’ time.

I think the point is anti O bunch is looking for him to fail so they can say see I told you so. Miles was not even salvageable, laughable at best at the end and left us in a rut. I guess all you still wet the bed too. Point is just because he failed at Ole Miss does not equal always a failure. And no not even a down year this year should be his demise.

Define “down year.”

You can't put an exact on it but mere improvement should be sufficient. Now another Troy type loss and the wheels start falling off then let's talk. But until then be patient. Half off the anti crowd wanted him fired for last year and cried to rehire Lester

It doesn't matter who the fans want. Our AD has made it abundantly clear they don't give a rat's arse about the program succeeding. I fully expect them to dip into the high school ranks for the next hire.

you and those like you are the reason no one listens to you. you add nothing to this board. instead of it being a forum to discuss LSU sports, it's a reality TV show to you assholes.

Rank in Order Future HC Candidates for LSU AD

How many fricking times does this question need to be asked and answered before mother frickers start getting banned for continuing to ask it?

For Christ sake...we hired a man with a fricking 10-25 career record to lead our program, and the best you idiots can do is ask WHO WOULD WE HAVE HIRED??

Answer: Literally ANY coach in America with a better than .500 career record would have been a safer hire than what we went with. The end.

This ridiculous question could have had some merit had we settled on a safe hire but not a sexy one. We didn't. Our AD had TWO candidates, and then said, "frick it" after he got his feelings hurt by Herman and hired our DL coach.

Also...why does it seem like ever poster with less than a year on this forum is a fricking imbecile?

I'll bite. New AD Scott Woodward should hire Matt Campbell from Iowa State. There's very little not to like about this guy. Young up and comer big on details and discipline. Solid X's & O's and recruiting. Total package. Only question marks are he's a midwest guy with little ties to the south, and he has a hefty buyout.

He used to coach at Toledo. Last time we hired an ex Toledo coach it worked out pretty well for us. Definitely some similarities with Saban.

You might want to rub one out for some instant gratification because cleaning up a mess doesn't happen overnight

Matt Campbell has a $7 million buyout clause. Woodward would be a great hire for AD.

He will be given next year unless he fails to make a bowl game this year which wont happen.

Thanks for the link. $7M drops by $1M each year.

Could save some money and just hire his AD at Iowa St too. Couldn't be worse than Joe.

There’s also a clause in the new contract that says the buyouts decrease by 50 percent if Jamie Pollard is no longer Iowa State's athletic director.
