Looks like things will be quiet around here for a while so I thought I'd have a little fun.

Little Nicky won his in 4 years.

The Mad Hatter won his in 3.

Co-Ed won his in 3 (3 1/2 if you count interim).

How long until Kelly finds his 4 leaf clover?

There's alot that can go wrong in a championship run but I really think by year 2 onward, Kelly will have LSU a consistent title contender. As in playing meaningful football in mid to late November every single year.

Year 3 is the safe answer. I do think by year 2 they will be in contention.

If you stay on here long enough tho you would think LSU will never get another player to come to LSU because of NIL.

I think year 2-3 will be very promising. You have to have an elite QB and Howard is that guy. I'm also really impressed with the OL haul we have so far.

If Kelly makes the right OC/DC hires and fills remaining roster holes with solid players, he has the foundation for a really good team in year 2-3.

im take year 3 or 4.

Year 1 could be a little bumpy like 8-4ish (even saban went 7-6 at bama)
Year 2 if we get right bounces could win sec but we probably won't be ready yet.
Year 3 we should be a real contender

This seems like more of a rebuild right now compared to Les Miles. I am going to say 4 years

Transfer portal makes completely changing your roster in a year or two possible.

Agreed, but LSUs roster needs to be rebuilt. It’s pretty barren. This is not a Les Miles taken over a stacked roster situation.

I think there is a solid base in this roster with the freshmen and sophomores that have played a ton over the last year or two.

You do need to rebuild the o line/TE and LB’s. You have one veteran QB and two talented young guys and the WR, DL, and secondary has some experienced talent. Need to build depth and do whatever you can to have Flott come back for another season.

He better assemble a recruiting staff that can keep up with Bama, UGA, and now A&M. Malchow and the woman recruiting duo at A&M appear to be held in very high regard in the CFB ranks.

If you compare what Saban, Miles, O, and BK each inherited when they took over, you could make a strong case that BK has the most work to do. I think he'll get there, but I don't know that it'll be as fast as his predecessors.

He really needs to do it by year 3 if he wants to keep his job. No excuses. Both Ed and Les did it by year three.

Kelly has a very poor record with QB development but has been given the gift of a lifetime with Walker Howard. He struggled to recruit elite QBs and WRs to ND because he couldn't develop them. If he botches Howard, then I predict he won't ever win an NC at LSU and possibly not even an SEC title. If he can get the QB position right, then I think he could put together a nice run because he's shown he can run a good program in almost every other respect.

Whatever year the National Championship is in the Superdome. Seems like this is the only logical answer.

If you guys try to set a deadline, you're setting yourselves up for disappointment. I believe CBK is going to build a winner and a contender but another NC will come when it comes.

Kelly will be here and will be successful long term and will leave when HE wants to
