At kickoff bought 3 tickets at ticket window for $150 each. Upper level, but right behind the band in the student section.

The only people I saw selling tickets were asking 600 for upperdeck and up to 2000 for lower.

A buddy and I just walked into the stadium while Bevo was parading down the street. We stood in the shade for a minute under a gate. I noticed no one was watching, so I just walked in, and my podnuh followed.

Very few people were actually selling, but the ones I talked to were asking $500 and up each.

I eventually got in for $100 because a vendor selling water outside the stadium told me he’d let me and my group in for $100 each if we followed him in. He lead us to a ticket scanner who was his friend, he pretended to scan our phones and we walked right in, turned a corner and paid the original guy $400 total. I’m sure those dudes made bank that night.

We went and stood in the UT student section and watched the game from section 19 in the lower bowl. Nobody asked to see our tickets all night. Met a group of 6 other Tiger fans that said they got in the same way.

Our group had 3 that did this also. We were about to give up. I bet that guy made over $30k that night

Also paid $350 for an upper about 2 hours before the game, wanted $400 but was able to talk him down. I have never seen tickets so scarce at a game, barely saw anybody selling and most were for over $500.

Got lucky at the tailgate I was attending and paid $60 for an upper deck ticket.

They got lucky... I bought a pair on StubHub Saturday morning and as we were literally walking up to the gate I got a call from StubHub saying my tickets were no longer valid and they would be refunding the full amount including fees. We tried to use them anyway but they wouldn't scan. I never got a full explanation but my guess is they sold them on more than one site. That was the second pair StubHub gave us because the original pair also ended up being invalid. It was 20 minutes to kickoff at this point and we couldn't find anyone outside the stadium selling. Ended up with a $150 credit for a future purchase and back at the hotel watching in the bar... thank goodness for the win or it may have been the most disappointing sports weekend of my life.

Dude that sucks bad, rotten luck considering u bought 2 pair and it happened 2x

Guy sold my buddy a workers pass for $150. Walked him up a flight of the ramp, took the pass back and then told him to just go look for open seat. What an entrepreneur.

Thread bookmarked for the very vocal “you can into any game for under $100” crowd

As was stated many times on the ticket exchange by many, this particular game had some very unique circumstances that kept ticket prices high, as expected.

Did anyone else notice the armed security with semi automatic rifles that stood outside the stadium on the campus side pretty much all day?

They never moved and were always looking at the top of the campus buildings nearby. I wonder if they do this for every game or not

Don't know what they paid, but we had a bunch of UT students with "double-booked" tickets to seats all around us. Awkward until they moved on, presumably to be closer to friends.

$500 is what they were asking outside of the stadium. Stubhub shut off access at kickoff. I guess all of those left on websites for sale were just lost and no one used them???

Wait, seriously? I've never heard of that happening before.

I know for NFL games, it shuts off an hour after kickoff.

Yes we were monitoring right up to kickoff hoping for a deal. When I refreshed the page stubhub had a message saying tickets to this event were no longer available. There were quite a few we were watching. I thought they would go into kickoff as well. Can’t believe all were sold exactly at kickoff.

I was thinking I could get a cheaper ticket after kickoff as well. They shut that website down at kickoff. Ended up watching half at a tailgate and half at a bar.
