I don’t think most people believe he will be fired. Kelly got exposed to most objective people as he in over his head for this era of college football. Can he get by? Of course he has enough talent and is a decent enough coach to win 8 games a year with no problem. He isn’t going to contend for any national titles.

Wherever Kelly goes, hatred follows. And it really does damage the brand. Only question is how long does the stench last after he's gone?

Kelly was hated at ND because he bolted in the middle of the night. Most of the shite talking about Kelly from that occurred after their feelings were hurt.

And even after being left at the alter by Kelly their brand seems to be doing fine. They’re finally spending as well because of what he said when he left.

BK9.9 will not be fired outright, but if WE do not make the CFP, I can see a behind the scenes agreement with McWoodard for a "Retirement or Resignation" with a Settlement a la Orgeron. I'm a hard liner, but I'd settle for a shite canning of the entire Offensive Staff (Just like in 2023 with the Defensive Staff) with Blake Baker and his entire Defensive Staff returning. Critical: Get an experienced and proven OC & OL Coach in here!

Might as well go cheap on the next coach/staff whenever the time comes. Can probably get similar results for half the price of what they’re currently paying.

It's not possible to buy Kelly out. What they can do is fire the offensive staff. I'm watching the Delaware game right now. I'd hire their offensive coordinator.

Problem with Kelly is he wants a OC to run his offense. Like he's some savant with a offense that isn't outdated. All of his OCs from Notre Dame till today ran his offense. He never hires somebody to come in to run their offense.

So just keep losing 3 to 4 games every year and missing the playoffs with BK until he finally retires or dies?

I don’t think you understand how buyouts work. It’s not a lump sum, it’s broken down monthly over multiple years. Depending on the installment plan, you’re essentially losing 9 mil a year which can be afforded by our boosters. It really depends on how much they want him gone. Also, don’t overlook the boosters ability to get political powers in line and have him fired for cause.

Its unlikely, but not impossible

Brian Kelly is not going to "settle" with LSU. We will have to pay him all of what he is owed IF we decide to fire him.

There is no chance that happens in 2025-26.

I don't think there is a chance he's fired after this year, even if we go 7-5 or 8-4.

But they will make him make changes to the O like they did the D last year, and hopefully they'll be harder on him than on Sunbelt Billy and force him to give up control over the O. Then if the struggles continue in a few years when the buy-out becomes managable he'll be fired.

No. This is ABSOLUTELY not possible. Kelly could lose every single game left, by 40+ or more, and he wouldn't get fired. Not this year. And probably not next year either.

These posters you're referring to are just stupid, so you should probably discount anything they say.

Posters are idiots.

1) They think boosters have unlimited money
2) They assume none of us contribute, saying shite like “it’s not your money”

BK isn’t getting fired unless LSU negotiates a smaller buyout.

How many of these do we have? I know Todd Graves and maybe a few others, but I’m not sure they have been donating big money.
