re: Question for the "Miles will change" crowd

Again, Miles ain't gonna change shite. You need to let go. We will continue to recruit duel-threat QBs like JJ/AJ/BH and continue to "protect" them from making mistakes. There will (probably) be no good QB to save Miles, because Miles is fricking that up too.
We won't throw over the middle or have enough short routes to keep defenses honest. Good SECW teams will gameplan for our "base" offense and we will lose to any good or mediocre team that can stop the run.
It's like the NFL. SECW Ds are getting that good. You can't run vanilla safe offense because the defenses here will shut that shite down. Saban saw it and adapted. You must have creativity on offense or you will not win SEC championships.
I have hope that we will fire Miles when he loses 3-4 games badly again, and that we will make a good hire. Jimbo would have been a great hire for us, but there are other good HCs out there.

I can tell you one thing, he isn't going to change to make you happy, He will change to win more football games though. They already started changing the offense this past season. Really starting towards the end of last season. They will continue with the development of the offense going forward as well. Already have seen more jet sweeps, read options, shotgun formations, 3-4 wr sets, usage of misdirection and motion, pick play on a pass, attempted passes to TE's and underneath routes (harris is just terrible at this or we would have seen more), just a lot of things different going on with the offense that we have never seen before out of a Les Miles or Cam Cameron team.
You stop that! No one wants to hear that. If I could get to you, I'd slap your hand. Miles never changes anything or make any adjustments.

It does work with an experienced QB who can make throws

The problem is Miles thinks his system IS working.

Don't know what offense you're watching

How did we win 10 games? I must have missed something here.

Is this a bash fest, or can I answer with some hopeful expectations?
1) Miles has always preached strong special teams. There were remarks made in his first season about how unlike his predecessor, he doesn't choose to neglect 1/3 of the game; and that part of the team has been key to quite a few big wins here in his tenure. So in that light, he can't be happy with it the past couple of seasons. Our kickoff game was bad (poor coverage, short and/or out of bounds kicks), our punt team was bad. I see changes coming.
2) Defense. It's simply a matter of fact that Chavis ran a system with smaller, faster players. We're transistioning away from that, it will take time to recruit bigger guys, time in the weight room for our guys to get bigger. If it goes to a 3-4, expect Keys to be an OLB; in Chavis system he's a typical DE. What Steele's system will be, we don't know, but expect it to at least be bigger.

We have a great shot to win 10...0r what would have been 10...exceeding most peoples pre-season expectations....yet you are on here blatantly bashing. Man.
Exactly... IF they had a QB. Why doesn't LSU have even a mediocre QB? Why is Mett the only decent QB that LSU has had in what is fast approaching a decade?
You can't defend Miles by saying "If only Miles had done his job we would be great" as an excuse that Miles HAS done a great job.

This "SS" as stated by some of you guys is all your fault. Some how you think you have an input into a major football programs hiring and firing. YOU DON'T!
Why oh why start one more of these threads? Why not pump up our players after you stupidity from last week of crap you wrote. Move on.

To change, he needs to be visited by three spirits - the ghosts of seasons past, present, and future.
The first takes him back to his days at Michigan, playing for Bo, and learning what it takes to be a winner.
With the second, he visits the home of Mike the Tiger, saddened, with family gathered 'round including his favorite son, Tiny Len. Their trophy case is empty for another year.
The final ghost takes him to the graveyard of failed coaches. Far away in the back is a statue covered in bird crap. The ghost holds up his lantern to show the name "Leslie Miles."
Finally he asks "Tell me spirit, are these the shadows of the things that will be, or are they shadows of things that might be?"

Yes we do. CFB is entertainment when you get down to it. If the audience (fanbase) is not happy with the show, the producer will be forced to make changes (like firing the director for sucking).
Most of us do not have input as individuals, but we do as a whole. When the majority of a fanbase revolts, changes are made, especially in the case of a good program like ours.
This is what the pumpers don't understand. Sometimes you have to fire somebody and not accept slipping into mediocrity. You are not helping the program by remaining "positive" about everything in all cases.

Perhaps an empty stadium will effect some changes..... Very sad for die hard fans like
Myself and so many others. Les is a good guy, but is paid a lot to win. He, after all, is an employee with a job to do. He is out of mulligans!!

Yes I'm not happy either that we didn't make the playoffs.
But a new thread pops up every 5 minutes about the exact same thing.
Can't they just all bitch in a few threads rather than make a new for every negative thought that pops into their head?
We know people aren't happy, making multiple threads isn't going to make them happier?
Or do they feel good about others agreeing with them?
rant on........

Miles will change. He will be a year older. That's a change. As for the offense, it will be the same thing we have seen for the past 11 years. Run heavy with a sprinkle of pass when it's too late in the down and distance.

People can keep making excuses for the good guy and blaming Harris all they want, but the way we call games and prepare is all Les Miles and his old arse ways.
You have to actually call the plays against the weaker opponents to build chemistry in the passing game. It doesn't turn on and off after 55 minutes in Power I. Look at the State game.
We were up big and some how the good guy kicked in high (low) gear and sat on the fcking football, only to escape with a field goal attempt on the line. He does not know how to close out opponents or dominate weak opponents.
