Burrow quit on his team as well. So what?

Is there a definition of “quit” that I’m not aware of?

None of this matters. I was responding to earlier posts idiotically suggesting that Brennan was a quitter, but Daniels is not.

They both quit. It’s an inarguable fact.

All I can say is the only team Brennan played with a pulse was Moo U and his QBR was 45. Jayden played better against a way better MSU defense.

I mean One still plays football. So it’s semantically arguable.

No it’s not.

If you quit your job and get a new job, did you quit?

Yes. Don’t be a fricking moron.

Ricks left because he thought he deserved Stingley nil money.

You are saying he quit? Why do you say that? Did he stop playing for ASU at any point during the season? Or did he leave bc another opportunity for him to grow as a player happened for him?

Take your work for example. If another opportunity for promotion and a better way of life for you and family, would you not take it? Or would you just stay at your current job/position bc you don’t want to be viewed as a “quitter”.

Sure Daniels entered the transfer portal like so many of today’s college athletes that are afforded them. He could have stayed at ASU but he chose to come to LSU bc that was best for him. Why hate on a kid because he wanted to improve himself and put him in a better position for a professional career?

Daniels former head coach just got fired.

Brennan was not an Power 5 QB. He would have been legendary at McNeese or Southeastern!

I’m just looking at the facts, while you are all about feelings.

Yes, they all quit on their teams, as is their right.

But Brennan quit and literally stopped playing the sport. It's not really comparable to a player transferring.

In what world does daniels lead the nation in rushing yards? He doesn’t even lead for just QBs

He would have been fine at LSU in 2020 if he never got hurt.

Pretending a guy can throw for 11 TDS in 3 games in the SEC couldn’t play at the FBS level? That’s fricking dumb as frick.

How do you consider Brennan a quitter when he stuck it out for 6 years. Stayed through 2 season ending injuries. Stayed through 3 head coaches. Stayed through 6 offensive coordinators. Stayed through 6 different QB coaches. Stayed through 6 different play books and offensive systems. Hell, Daniels left ASU at the drop of a hat.. Brennan will always be a Tiger.

You make this whole argument about Brennan sticking it out and then ruin it at the end by saying Jayden left at “the drop of a hat” do you even know what that phrase means? He was there for 3 years.

Brennan was BAD on third down (ya know, when it matters most) going 0-10 against a terrible Missouri team. That alone sets Jayden apart, as he operates well with his legs and arm when we’ve needed to convert critical third and fourth downs.

Myles was bad in other ways against very bad competition (nowhere close to FSU or MSU this season). The only reason he had to throw so much was because of our terrible defense, but that’s why he was able to rack up good looking stats while in reality showed a crippling timidity in the pocket, poor footwork, and lack of field vision (he relied heavily on TMJ and Gilbert), which is why he had such a lousy time winning those important games.

Now, is he a better pocket passer than Jayden Daniels? Yes. Is he a better college football player? Not even close. That’d be like saying Myles was better than Nick Marshall, which makes me laugh just thinking about it because I know some baws who would hang their hats on that.

I’m this case, every person who has ever played football in the history of ever is a quitter. See how that works? You played sports at one point? You’re a quitter too.

I don’t understand what y’all are arguing about. Every single transfer changes school because they feel like it’s a better opportunity, for whatever reason it may be (more money, more playing time, better chance to win, better coaches, etc). They are all the same whether you like it or not. Brennan left because he realized his playing days were probably done and he wanted to move on with his life for a better opportunity.

Dude, Brennan had went through like a million different coaches at LSU because they were all getting fired.

Good Lord, how dumb of a guy are you?

I'm not making any judgement calls on Daniels or anyone else.

I don't care if he transferred. But we are talking about facts here, not your feelings.

Whether or not it was a good opportunity, he quit the football team at Arizona State. It's an inarguable fact.

Yes I would, but before I could accept this better way of life for my family, I would have to QUIT my previous job.

Is English your second or third language?

It's just a semantics game at this point. Jayden "quit" in that he left the ASU team for a bigger challenge. Brenner "quit" in that he straight up quit the sport and the team altogether because he couldn't hack it.
