Is that you Ed?

He does deserve credit for getting a well coached up back-up QB from Ohio State to come to Baton Rouge.

Brennan threw all over a bunch of homs in high school. When he played Brother Martin, who's not exactly know for being a football powerhouse, he got shite kicked 42-7. Couldnt move the ball. Too skinny. Not accurate enough. Dumb decision maker. If you're holding out hope this guy will be some sort of Matt Flynn or something you're just retarded. He's a poor man's
Felipe Franks but with slower foot speed.

What?? It was our best offense in quite some time. He almost passed for 20 TDs and 3000 yards last year. That was without an elite RB, injuries to our OL all year, no TEs, and WRs who were either young or just wasn’t ready for big time football.

Each player feeds off of the next so with a complete offense that is healthy I think you will see a huge difference in year two for them all. Burrow was brand spanking new to this team as well so they all had to build a relationship which really couldn’t happen in the time they had together. That should also change this year. Burrow also had to gain the respect of his fellow players which is now established so if he goes knocking on one of the WRs doors now and says come catch some balls, they will more than likely go catch some balls.

Everyone saw what he and Jefferson was doing out there, now imagine that with 2 or 3 more WRs, the TEs and the RBs. IMO the OL got better blocking for the scheme and Burrow toward the end of the year because they knew what to expect from him and he new what to expect from them.

It’s a team sport and they all have to work together in an imperfect environment to make it work the best possible way. People love to blame the scheme but I saw open field and WRs going the wrong way many many times. I also saw where they actually did run the right routes on time and hit for some huge yards so the scheme had nothing to do with it and we will all see that this year.

It’s still going to be Steve’s offense except with some help from Brady with getting the guys on the same page and running it at a faster pace while he also brings some read option and RPO to the offense. The scheme was good imo. The team wasn’t all together just yet was more of the issue. If we don’t see that change this year then I will finally agree that things have to change on that side of the ball. We will have all the pieces this year and we’ll have depth on the OL. It’s their job to have the 1st and 2nd team offense ready in case of injury.

Last year there was really nothing they could do. This year will be different and really is no excuses. I’m actually counting on a very good season in 2019 from the Tigers. If not then maybe it is time to start checking and putting feelers out to other coaches to see where they stand and how they look at LSU. Anymore than 2 losses and I’m looking if I’m the AD. I’m expecting us to repay Florida and A&M while beating Texas and the remaining schedule besides Bama. I wouldn’t mind seeing a loss to either Texas or maybe Florida but beating Bama either. I think a 1 loss LSU team gets us into the playoffs especially if we blow some teams out along the way and play close to who ever the loss would be against.

It’s time we start playing dominant football again and show that we now have some depth to hang with anyone. GT

We had a really good TE last season. He was drafted fairly high and ran really well at the combine.

Ok we had one TE who really didn’t fit what we were trying to do. Yes he performed well in the combined and was a solid TE but he just didn’t fit what we’re now trying to do. We need a quicker more athletic TE who can also block.

Obviously Moreau was fast but hardly quick. He didn’t have many moves and wasn’t juking anyone out of their shoes. He was a straight lined route runner and solid blocker but not dominant. You need more than one TE and we need one that can run a nice route tree and be elusive while being able to block as well.

I think we have that now. We can use a couple of last years OLman to play TE also. Plus we have needed and still need one of the taller WRs or taller and bigger TEs to help the WRs and RBs in the RZ to become more efficient there. Hell if LSU simply improves in that department, we will see a drastic improvement as a whole on offense. Instead of letting Tracy kick all those FGs, we score TDs and get 6 points out of it instead of 3 we would have put it on some of those teams last year.

I think Brady will help in this area. I’m looking forward to what ever changes are coming and hopefully I see what I’ve been waiting to see for a while now. That’s a good solid offense to go along with a great defense and STs play. GT

Wasn’t the answer yet as a sophomore and 185lbs. shite will be a lot different next year after two years of growing behind Burrow. Probably will be at 210 and that’s fine .

I’m pretty sure that they were saying he was at 200 and better on some days. You can now see he’s starting to hit his growth spurt of his 20’s growing out and not up.

His face now looks much more full then it did last year. His body is starting to develop so I believe by the end of this year he will gain more weight and possibly start having to lose some by next offseason.

The boys arm talent is there. What he needs to work on is his movement in the pocket and trust his OL. I think he’s quick enough to run with the ball also. Just as quick as Burrow for sure. Toughness is another aspect I hope they all learn from Burrow. Burrow coming here was probably the best thing for him. I think he’s going to be fine. He should be getting some playing time this year even if garbage time. GT

Thats "Coachspeak" ...I wouldn't expect him to publicly say anything negative about the kid.

Already writing off Parrish and Finley?

I can’t imagine why QBs wouldn’t want to play for this fan base...

Barring injury, Brennan won’t ever start for us.

Dissagree completely. They were not comfortable with Brennan going out there weighing 180 pounds at 6’4 against SEC competition. He had an injury last year and we had the opprtunity to get a redshirt on him, so Burrow never played even when we had safe leads. Brennan will play anytime the score dictates it this year and will start next year.

Russell
Flynn
Perrilloux
Lee and he wasn’t ready. The beginning to the end of “The Run” as we knew it.

LSU has got to begin to develop QB’s before we can boast anything about how great the QB situation is at LSU. When was the last QB that improved from the beginning of their time at LSU until the end. Brennan was a prized QB coming out of High School, and apparently he hasn’t improved enough to unseat a QB that was 2nd string at OSU.
