He was beat out by an eventual first round pick in the NFL...there arent many QBs who would have beaten Haskins for that position.

MB broke national records in high school. He has been training at LSU for 2 years, working on his 3rd. He's 6'5 with a great arm. Moves well.

O saw an opportunity to improve the QB position and he took it. He saw a QB that was competing down the wire at OSU and decided it would be wise to have better competition at the position and someone that had a tad bit more physical maturity and experience.
We also have been working hard to change the culture around the QB position and get recruits to trust there would be changes. A mature QB could help bring that trust a little faster.
And it is working.
Now we didn't have to rush Brennan, and there is a better, deeper line of succession.
Brennan will play this year, and he will be a very good QB at LSU. And I can't wait until he shoves it all up your dumb asses.

Sure, in our biggest win he completed under 50% and scored zero touchdowns.
The actual game he tried to will us to a win, we lost.
One season of bad to great QB play doesn't mean LSU has moved forward.

Try not to let the facts get in your way of trashing the team, and the player. We finished at the 6th team in the country without an SEC running back, and OL that changed every week. Burrow took a beating and showed a great deal of resilience and toughness.
Go back to playing video games.

I doubt he plays much at all. For all the shite Miles got, he actually gave the younger guys more snaps than we've seen out of Orgeron.

Saying he's not an SEC back, to me, isn't trashing. I didn't say he sucked or would never play a down at LSU. He was a good back, but not elite. And the point was that it put a ton of pressure on the QB along with having to patch up the OL every week... explaining why the stats weren't always there for Burrow.

Look, I’d love for Brennan to be a great QB, but from what i’ve seen over the past couple years, i’m just not a believer. Maybe he makes drastic strides and can start after Burrow’s gone. But my gut tells me it’s not happening.

So me saying Burrow went stretches of not scoring is diff how? I never said he sucked or the team sucked.
I just think that one season hasn't completely changed our fortunes. The head coach didn't think it was good enough either, he's brought in a passing game coordinator. If everything was great, this wouldn't be a thing.

And he failed in spring of 2018 when the table was set for him to take over. He basically had no competition but couldn’t get it done and forced O to desperately get a transfer.
I hope I’m wrong, but i just don’t see it.
