Was able to get flights yesterday outta Nola to Charleston for 170$ per person round trip on American Airlines. Delta had flights for around 200$ pp round trip . Within the next 1-2 weeks Breeze airways will be dropping their non stop flights to Charleston and I assume they’ll ring in between 100-180$ pp round trip. Just a heads up for those wanting to go. I’d say now or in the next couple weeks is prob the time to strike on airfare if you’re coming from LA.

Why not fly into Columbia where the game is?

We're a year away from traveling to a ton of SEC games…and yes South Carolina is one i hope we visit. Probably catch 4 games this year, maybe just send the boy and friend to two of those…we’ll see.

Much costlier flight plus I’m staying 4 days and want to do some other things besides just watch the game . It’s not a bad drive from Charleston and there’s lots more to do and see there.

Dammit. I had bought $300 round trip a couple weeks ago. I'm looking into if I can cancel those and get some cheaper tickets. Thanks for the heads up.

Also, where are you seeing these rates? What website?

The Lowcountry is beautiful in the fall! It's worth the inconvenience of a 2 hr drive. Plus Charleston is a great travel destination

Mid-September in the low country is essentially the same weather as BTR.

Thought about Myrtle beach also. We are flying up Friday and gonna fly back on Tuesday. I’ve never been to SC ever so looking forward to checking it out plus hopefully seeing LSU beat some arse.

Yea I just noticed the game is Sept 14. Somehow I thought it was in November.

It's super hot in Columbia in September; probably hotter than Baton Rouge which usu. has afternoon thunderstorms at that time of year

I checked it. I can save $30/person, but I'd rather have the flights that I already booked due to timing. Thanks anyway.

Greenville - Spartanburg is about 1.5 hrs. from Columbia and Southwest flies there along with most of the other airlines.

And the exit of 26 for their stadium if before you get fully into the city.

Any ladies needing a place to stay in Charleston can post their pics for consideration.
