One of his strengths is timing the snap. I’m not saying he’s doomed but you can’t really sugar coat this performance, it’s bad for him

Real bad. No doubt.

He might fall to the 3rd, and I think if he does, that'll be good value for a team. He'll still be a competent pass rusher in the league because his timing, moves, bend, etc. He's very skilled.

Curious how Guice's hand measurement could drop an inch from the combine. Guess I'd be unhappy if the LSU staffer measuring this got me labeled as tiny hands right before the draft. Most others seem to be within an 1/8 or same (Etling) as the combine measure

Dude shoulda refused to have his hands measured again at the pro day

If a team is worried about his hand size I’m sure they will independently measure them

Yes. I’m not sure why you would suggest that someone has a propensity to pass on players from a certain state (or played college ball in that state since key isn’t from here) would look at 2 players from that state.

That’s why you may have noticed the bolding of LA and Tulane

I’m not talking about his performance this season. I’m talking about his combine right now. Is that not clear?

At this point if he keeps up like this he will only be in the nfl 3-4 years if lucky. If he carries this baggage to the pro’s he will never get to that second contract.

It’s plenty clear. I’m just not sure why you were defending disappointing stats from the season and not disappointing stats from the pro day.

Both situations are contributing to his draft stock dropping.

You tried to discredit those that said he had a disappointing season, but his performance this pst month seems to support that assertion. If he couldn’t get ready for combine/pro day, what makes you think he was ready for the season.

Something is just off with Key's 40. He seemed way faster than that in '15 and'16.

He’s in the same shape right now as he was 2 years ago when he had the 2nd best defensive season in LSU history.

As far as 2017 he started slow & finished strong. He had 4 sacks in 8 games which is disappointing compared to 16’ but it’s hardly terrible by any other normal pass rush standard .

Right now we’re talking about his nfl prospects. I can say he had a disappointing combine but a really good career at lsu, he wouldn’t be the first guy

The most disturbing detail in all of this is that the coaches let him come back and play over players that had worked their tails off all spring and summer.

Key was better than them. What were the coaches going to do? Bench their best player? This guy absolutely dominated Bama. I have not seen a defensive front seven guy have that kind of performance since Mike Brockers.

I would steer clear of key in the first round because of attitude, but his speed does not worry me. The guy gets to QBs. Who cares how? If I was satisfied that he's not hopelessly lazy, or nuts, I'd pick him after about the 40th pick. He could prove to be a great rusher.

I usually don’t agree with Lester on a lot, but I was surprised as well with his athletic testing. He looks “twitchy” on the field. I wish him the best but again he’s cost himself a lot of money and that’s his own doing.

Key running a 4.85 at 238 pounds absolutely drops him out the first round

I'm NOT saying he's as good as Terrell Suggs by any means, but Suggs ran a 4.84 and people were saying how much his speed would hurt him in the NFL.

Suggs weighed in at 262 pounds, 24 pound heavier than Key....

Believe me I know he’s dropping out. Doesn’t make me an lsu or a key hater. Just a realist.

He can get to the qb and that's awesome, but at 238 pounds he's a liability vs the run game, if he doesn't bulk up.
