It's great that he put in 2 years of hard work, but if he can't devote 3 years of hard work to his teammates then there is some sort of motivational issue for him. He had literally nothing to lose by giving it his all in his final year. I hope he gets it corrected and goes on to have a successful career.

Plenty of other hard working 3 and 4 year Tigers to support today, rather than just focus on him. I hope they all continue to show out today.

I've heard it was a mental thing, like anxiety/panic attacks and he went home to be with family and get his mind right.

Even if that didn't happen and was capable of "giving it his all", he had shoulder surgery and probably would've been not 100% most of the year.

So no good will for working his arse of for 2 years and being dominant?

I dont Know why he left the team, but people are so fricking butt hurt over shite we know nothing about. And wildly inconsistent over who they shite on.
nobody is wishing for Key to fail - only that we saw this coming with all the red flags.

If he only had one red flag, that might be ok, but he had multiples: long unexplained absence, delayed surgery, weight gain, lackluster effort in most games.

All of that adds up to leave a lingering disappointment in Key. Which is especially sad since he destroyed his first 2 years.

Well I hope he gets that all corrected and has a successful NFL career.

Corey Thompson has had a hell of a pro day, not sur ehe gets drafted, but every measureable is there:

6'1 222, long arms, 19 reps of 225, 10'6" broad, 38" vert, 4.62 40

Well, when he declared and signed with an agent, he was a projected high 1st round pick. Those types of players should go pro.

Its too late now.

Arden Key to the Saints in the 3rd round. Boom! Everybody happy.

Maybe the 4th.
I don't think Key goes anywhere in the 3rd, 4th round . At this point looks more like a solid 2nd round choice now, but could slide into the 1st round late because of his production at LSU especially his soph season. But if I were the Saints and Payton who has shown the propensity to pass on LA talent for whatever strange reasons, he should be dialed in on both Parry Nickerson and Ade Aruna of Tulane. Nickerson is a solid CB that matched Donte Jackson's 40 and I didn't think he was that fast, but he has shown to be a much more solid DB than Jackson. Ade Aruna is a freak with a high ceiling, 6'6 262 of muscle that put up solid numbers yesterday at Tulane's pro day. Dude could turn into a terror on the outside for them, I would take Nickerson with that 3 pick if he's still there and Aruna right after him, both of them will be solid pro's.

Looked really good at LB for us when he was healthy too, so the production is there.

Just has a terrrrrrrible history of injuries. He'll get drafted later by a team willing to take that risk. When healthy, he's a starting NFL LB.

Terrell Suggs by any means, but Suggs ran a 4.84 and people were saying how much his speed would hurt him in the NFL.

Suggs had 25lbs on him

I stated facts.

Terrible time for him.

Will fall out of the first round.

Red flags with GM’s and his time away from team. All facts. That’s all.

Wonder why the straight line guys like Donte and DJ did not do the Pro Shuttle and 3 cone drill at the combine or their Pro day? Or maybe the times were not posted?

Absolutely, I know they aren't the same. The point was just that raw speed can be overcome by being just a damn good football player.

Donte Jackson with 4.31 speed and 37 inch vertical has probably cinched first round.

IF you’re 238 you can’t be slow. There really aren’t any rushers playing at that weight to begin with and they surely aren’t that slow

Well I don't think Key got slower than he was his sophomore year and he was down right dominant in major college football.

That is the point.

shite, maybe he should've stayed at 260. I doubt his 40 would've been much slower.

Key isn’t going in the 1st. He’ll be lucky to go in the 2nd. He has off the field issues, work ethic issues and very average athletic ability.

Nickerson has shown to be much more solid than Jackson? Against who?

One of his strengths is timing the snap. I’m not saying he’s doomed but you can’t really sugar coat this performance, it’s bad for him

You seemed to be sugarcoating his performance during the season in another thread. You should apologize
