I'm ready for Simmons to get pissed off and try to dominate / take over games. Please tell me you have it in you! We need this to overcome a lot of deficiencies.

I know this is thrown out irresponsibly a lot in regards to this team and this season but I agree here Butt.

So let's try to just root for the same team and hope they play well.

I always start each game anew hoping for the best. It's been a frustrating year as you just never know what you are going to get collectively or individually.

Bama has beaten some good teams this year....Notre Dame, Clemson and one other ranked team. They are not as talented as us but are capable. I sure hope we play with some urgency.

Geaux Tigers!!

I think Simmons is very frustrated. College basketball is the exact opposite of the NBA. It's as though the star player doesn't get the calls. Simmons relies on getting to the foul line. Sec officials though have let him get killed. It sucks because he has no shot, then half the time when he drives he gets fouled with no call. I think he has lost a lot of confidence.

But what is really sad is LSU is 3-6 when Ben scores less than 22. 22 points in college is a lot of points. We have more talent on this team than needing to rely on one player to score a ton of points.

Agreed but our offense will open up more if they view Simmons more as a threat.

CJJ needs to tell give him the go ahead to try and drop 60 at some point instead of being so timid.

Something bfniii doesn't mention, and it's not at all reflected in the RPI, is that we were missing key players for most of our non-conference losses (all but Wake), as you mentioned. The committee will absolutely take that into consideration, especially if we have a strong showing in the SEC at full strength.

Now, would we be in the tournament right now? No. Is there a lot of work left to get there? Yes, but we don't have to win every game by 20 just to get in. Tomorrow's game will be a key step.

I think LSU sneaks in, but I highly doubt that the committee considers that at all. They still had their best player at full strength as well as most of their returning lineup intact. Victor is a really good player, but they aren't going to consider him some major loss that every other team in basketball doesn't deal with. Same with Hornsby.

A&M was the very rare game with no pressure to win, just compete. Obviously LSU has lost to too many weak teams to suffer many losses like those the rest of the way. They could probably only survive one more bad loss and still get in.

Idk man Victor and Hornsby are our 2& 3rd best player. I think they have to take in account that guys like Sampson and elberto who were both starters then don't see that much now.

This is silly. That's how I know you don't really watch college basketball. All you really have to do is go to LSU basketball's ESPN page and there are about 8-10 videos saying EXACTLY opposite of what you just said.

It doesn't turn out so well when he ties to do too much.
IMO, we need all of Victor's minutes possible to compliment Simmons.

I'm sure of two things this week......The Broncos beating the Patriots and LSU beating Bama.

Lets do it.

this is not entirely true. lsu needs a lot of help. the rpi is mired at 104 and has been stalled for about a week. somehow, lsu has to pass up about 40 teams in the rpi rank.

I think LSU has 13 games yet to play so yes, they absolutely do control their own destiny. Anytime you can proceed to the playoffs simply by winning your own games, such is the case. Do I think that likely? Absolutely not. Do I think they could go 10 and 3 the rest of the way and make the dance by winning 1 in the SECT? Absolutely.

Can't watch today but if we lose this game, it's pretty much over.

Which probably means we will.

We can't win on the road and if victor has foul trouble, we are worthless on defense.

Ive defended jones for a long time but he's just not getting it done.
